Xie Huaidong still remembers that on March 17, when he was told that the nucleic acid test results were abnormal, he felt that the whole person was confused, his brain was blank, and it was false to say that he was not afraid, but it was more anxiety and worry. With the encouragement and care of the unit leaders and colleagues and enthusiastic neighbors, Xie Huaidong gradually adjusted his mentality, faced it calmly, and actively cooperated with the treatment.
After several days of anxiety and physical discomfort, the first night of the transfer, the tired Xie Huaidong fell asleep. In the middle of the night, half-dreaming and half-awake, he heard a small moan from the clinical patient. He was a little uneasy and quickly got up to ask about the patient's situation. When he learned that his patients were moaning because they felt cold, he ignored the fact that he still had a fever, quickly got up and ran to the nurse's desk to communicate with the nurses, adding a quilt for the patients. The patient said gratefully that thanks to Xie Huaidong's help, he let him sleep comfortably and peacefully.

After several days of treatment, Xie Huaidong's physical condition gradually improved. Looking at the busy figures of the medical staff, he proposed to them that they could help share meals with the patients, but the medical staff was worried about cross infection and refused his kindness. Xie Huaidong is not dead hearted, since he can't divide the meal, then help lift the lunch box, move heavy objects such as drinking water, or help the medical staff to do the disinfection of the environment. On March 29, Xie Huaidong and a group of other patients with mild symptoms were transferred to the centralized isolation point of the square cabin of the Expo Pavilion. Knowing that a temporary party branch had been set up at the centralized isolation point, a strong sense of party membership prompted him to report to the branch at the first time and listen to the organization's call and work arrangements at any time. Every time he arrives at the meal, he will take the initiative to participate in the distribution of meals and mineral water, and every time he waits for everyone to eat, he will start to eat; when he sees that the garbage in the ward is full, he will take the initiative to clean up; when he comes to the collective nucleic acid, he begins to assist the medical staff in distributing testing reagent tubes; some patients come to the new environment inevitably have fear, and he is in a good mood in time to soothe ... As long as the work is necessary, he always strives to do something for patients and share something for medical workers under the premise of epidemic prevention permits, and people around him praise him as "the intimate person of patients" and "the person who can't idle".

The new crown epidemic is menacing, the transformation of the square cabin is hasty, regardless of hardware and software, there are always some flaws. He observed that because the square cabin did not turn off the lights at night, coupled with the new environment, it caused young children to cry at night and could not sleep, which was really painful. He asked whether it was possible to consider appropriately adjusting the beds, arranging young children in various wards together, and opening up a relatively quiet and softly lit area for them, so that they could have a better treatment environment and sleep more peacefully at night.
Over the past few days, he has put forward a number of suggestions from many aspects such as drinking water security, toilet hygiene, washing safety, environmental sanitation, and early childhood growth, and written a full two pages of A4 paper, and carefully handed these suggestions to the temporary party branch of the isolation point. Among them, suggestions such as increasing water dispensers to facilitate patients to drink water, adding garbage cans in channels to reduce spitting have been adopted and implemented, and many other suggestions have been adopted and gradually improved. "It's especially nice to see that there are still family isolation points in the new square cabin, and there are high and low beds for the family to live together." A lot of details are being perfected, and we have to believe that everything is getting better. ”
On April 5, Xie Huaidong's ward was taken over by the Shanghai Medical Team. Combined with the living conditions of the cabin, Xie Huaidong drafted ten "Instructions for Admission of Personnel in Isolation and Concentration Areas (Code of Conduct)" and submitted them to the hospital, so as to facilitate the newly taken over medical staff to grasp the actual situation in the affected area faster and effectively promote relevant work.
Recently, Xie Huaidong was discharged from the square cabin and transferred to the isolation hotel. "Relax your mood, cooperate with the treatment, be more tolerant of patients, and wish every patient in the cabin a speedy recovery."
