In the latest edition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's purchase tax exemption catalogue, we see the figure of BYD seals, and the new car has previously released an official map of the appearance, and its mileage has been exposed. Seals will be available in 61.44kWh and 82.56kWh battery pack capacities, with CLTC ranges of 550km, 650km and 700km respectively.
Let's start with a brief review of the seal's styling. The new car is based on the design concept of "marine aesthetics", and the overall body posture is low and dynamic. The front face adopts a closed front grille design, and the outside of the headlights is decorated with curved black trim strips to form a C-type style, and the interior integrates a double U-shaped LED daytime running light design, which brings strong visual impact.
The side lines stretch smoothly and show the elegance of a coupe model through the slip-back roof and double waistline design. Exterior mirrors with concealed door handles and water drop shapes help reduce air resistance, and the word "NFC" above the mirrors is clearly equipped with an NFC smartphone key as standard, allowing users to enjoy the convenience of swiping their phones to unlock the doors.
The overall shape of the tail is simple and smooth, the through-type tail light is very distinctive, and the LED light source with the internal parametric distribution looks very exquisite, but also has a strong sense of science and technology, and has a strong recognition after lighting.
According to the declaration information, the body size of BYD Seal is 4800/1875/1460mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2920mm. In terms of power, the 550km endurance version is expected to be equipped with a single motor of 150kW; the 650km endurance version should correspond to the front and rear dual motors; and the 700km endurance version will correspond to a single motor of 230kW. At the same time, under the empowerment of e-platform 3.0 technology, SEAL will provide rear-drive/four-drive force architecture, front double wishbone + rear five-link chassis suspension, zero hundred acceleration up to 3.8 seconds.
