According to Cambodian media news, yesterday (April 10), Prime Minister Hun Sen issued a voice message announcing that the Cambodian government has decided to lift the removal of masks in 4 provinces.
Prime Minister Hun Sen said he decided to lift the mask order in four provinces on a trial basis. The four approved provinces include: Rattanakiri, Mondokiri, Oberdin and Preah Vihear. Nevertheless, Prime Minister Hun Sen gave the provincial people a decision on whether they would like to take off their masks or not.
According to Prime Minister Hun Sen, this is to enable the people of these four provinces to be held accountable for themselves without being forced to wear or not to wear a mask, and it is up to each person to choose for themselves.
Prime Minister Hun Sen stressed that the above decision will be implemented from today, and at the same time, Prime Minister Hun Sen instructed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Aun Porn Moniroth and Minister of Health Mam Bun Heng to implement the decision immediately.
