On April 9, the 2022 WTA500 Charleston Women's Doubles Quarterfinals, Xu Yipan / Heissen lost 2-6, 3-6 to No. 4 seed Klepich / Reinette, and did not qualify for the final four. Clepacchi/Reinet then beat Bencic/Kalinina 6-3, 7-6 (6) in the semi-finals, and they will compete with Hradecka/Mirza for the title. Earlier, the top seeds Zhang Shuai/Dolllehead lost in the semi-finals and missed the final.
