First, the electrical symbol of the double winding transformer

The most basic type of transformer consists of two sets of coils wound with wires, which are inductively weighed together by each other. When one AC current (with a known frequency) flows into one of the coils, an AC voltage of the same frequency will be induced in the other set of coils, and the amount of the induced voltage depends on the degree of coupling and magnetic interlocking of the two coils.

The three-winding transformer has 3 windings per phase, and when 1 winding is connected to the AC power supply, the other 2 windings induce different potentials, which are used for loads that require 2 different voltage levels. Power plants and substations usually have three different levels of voltage, so three-winding transformers are widely used in power systems. The high, medium and low voltage windings of each phase are set on the same core column. In order to use the insulation reasonably, the high-voltage windings are usually placed in the outermost layer, and the medium-voltage and low-voltage windings are placed in the inner layer.

The coupling of autotransmitter is the meaning of electromagnetic coupling, the ordinary transformer is transmitted by the electromagnetic coupling of the primary and secondary coils, the primary and secondary sides have no direct electrical connection, the original and secondary sides of the autotransformer have a direct electrical connection, and its low-voltage coil is part of the high-voltage coil.
