In late February 2015, there were a few muffled noises in the streets next to the Kremlin, and because the incident was so sudden, the public realized what had happened when they saw blood gushing from a man's back.
But it was too late, and by the time the police arrived, the man who had been shot had already stopped breathing, and after identifying him, they realized that the assassination was no simple feat.
The man who died was named Nemtsov, who was not only Russia's former first deputy prime minister, but also the founder of a "right-wing" party, and the location of the assassination was less than 200 meters away from the Kremlin, so there was also a "conspiracy theory" in Russia, in which there was even a conjecture that the president killed Nemtsov.
Today, let's talk about why there are such "conspiracy theories"? And what is the truth about Nemtsov's assassination?
In 1959, Nemtsov was born in Sochi in a family of intellectuals, unlike those industrial cities full of steel, Sochi can be said to be a rare "health mecca" in the Soviet Union, coupled with the fact that his mother was a doctor and his father was an engineer, Nemtsov did not suffer anything from childhood, which also allowed him to form a free and loose personality, however, a family change changed him.
In 1970, Nemtsov's mother was dismissed for medical malpractice, causing local people to start pointing fingers at their family, and Nemtsov's father had to take the family to Live in Novgorod. Compared with Sochi, Novgorod, although the environment is a little worse, but the historical atmosphere is extremely strong, in fact, this is the birthplace of ancient Rus'.
However, for the Nemtsov family, the forced move undoubtedly shook the foundation, his mother had to stay at home because she could not find a job, and over time became very sensitive and suspicious, and his father also suffered from severe asthma because of the pressure of life.
So far, Nemtsov has also changed from a "brother-in-law" to an "ordinary person" who needs to worry about everything, and such a blow is undoubtedly very huge. Because of this, for a long time, Nemtsov's classmates thought that he was a problem teenager with mania.
Fortunately, his father enlightened Nemtsov many times, no matter what kind of difficulties the family encountered, his life should not end hastily, at the same time, Novgorod's strong Slavic culture gradually affected Nemtsov, he began to be angry and strong, and in 1981, he was admitted to the Radio Physics Department of Gorky University.
It should be known that at that time, the Soviet Union was conducting the research and development of the third-generation fighter, and compared with the previous weapon system, the requirements of the third-generation fighter for avionics facilities were very high, so Nemtsov, who graduated from the bachelor's degree, instantly became a very sought-after talent.
The "number one" of Soviet avionics research and development, the Fazotron Design Bureau offered Nemtsov extremely generous conditions, and his alma mater even directly approved a property for him in order to retain him. After a brief period of deliberation, Nemtsov chose to continue his doctoral studies and later became a university professor.
But as time passed, Nemtsov, who taught at the school, became increasingly dissatisfied with the status quo. We have talked before, his father had advised him to live seriously, in some ways, although his father's encouragement allowed him to get rid of the cynical "big young master" mentality, but also planted the seed of "ambition" in Nemtsov's heart.
In 1986, Nemtsov seized the opportunity to enter politics. At that time, when the Chernobyl nuclear power plant had been leaked, Nemtsov, on the one hand, encouraged his students to carry out large-scale demonstrations and exerted pressure on the authorities to repeal the Soviet Union's bill on the development of nuclear power energy; on the other hand, he organized a group of university professors to form a group to criticize various policies and use their knowledge to propose "rectification" measures.
Some friends may wonder why the Soviet Union's tolerance for "free" groups like Nemtsov has always been very low, and why has he not been punished?
In fact, Nemtsov's "success" depended entirely on Gorbachev, the leader of the Soviet Union at the time. As we all know, Gorbachev proposed a "new thinking" policy during his administration, and even compiled it into a book and published it in a big way.
The new thinking policy is simply to support all free behavior in the country, including the liberalization of the market and the liberalization of "speech", not only that, in the face of "radical groups" such as Nemtsov, Gorbachev not only does not intervene, but also praises.
Because of this, Nemtsov and his colleagues even ran to the door of government agencies and shouted the slogan "I want to be an official", in their conception that even university professors with no experience could enter Soviet politics with their expertise and wealth. From the current point of view, Nemtsov can be regarded as the "public knowledge" of the Soviet Union.
However, perhaps because the theory was too advanced, or perhaps because there was no "backer", in short, Nemtsov finally failed after more than two years of marching, but his strong ability to organize and incite also attracted the attention of one person, that is, yeltsin, the president of the Russian Federation of Russia at the time.
In 1990, as the Soviet Union disintegrated in the shocking 819 incident, Yeltsin became the president of Russia in one fell swoop, and the first thing he did when he came to power was to co-opt Nemtsov, who was "able to speak the truth", and directly opened the appointment and dismissal of personnel, sending him to Novgorod Oblast as governor.
It has to be said that Nemtsov went from a lonely and nameless university professor to a powerful feudal official in only 4 years, and the promotion speed was undoubtedly very fast, but because of this, he became more and more arrogant and radical when he enjoyed the pleasure of power.
Of course, although Nemtsov seems to be a bit domineering, his ability to govern the jurisdiction is indeed obvious to all, in 1995, when Russia was heavily poisoned by oligarchs, including Yeltsin was surrounded by Western capital, Nemtsov saw the side of the oligarchs in advance, and proposed a series of economic reform measures, in the case of stimulating consumption, he forcibly returned some of the wealth stolen by the oligarchs to the novgorod people.
In 1997, after Yeltsin's successful re-election as president, Nemtsov was promoted to first deputy prime minister. However, just when he thought he could take over Yeltsin's class in the future, the oligarchs who had been punished by Nemtsov formed a coalition and lashed out at the deputy prime minister for being too tough and losing many jobs to the Russian people.
You know, at that time, Russia was almost completely controlled by the oligarchs, including a number of officials in the presidential office, and to put it bluntly, it was just a "microphone" for the oligarchs. Therefore, Nemtsov, who touched the oligarch's cake, was also forced to submit his resignation to Yeltsin in 1998 under heavy pressure and returned to Novgorod as an ordinary deputy commissioner.
However, Nemtsov, who had no morale and was ready to raise his family, regained his ambitions in 2000, and in his opinion, he had a close relationship with Yeltsin before, and even many policies were implemented after the other party called him for advice, but now Yeltsin has let a kgb boy become president, which undoubtedly aroused Nemtsov's dissatisfaction.
As a result, Nemtsov began to oppose Putin everywhere, even when Putin was dealing with the oligarchs, the common enemy of the two, Nemtsov would always jump out and point out the mistakes of the president, at the same time, he did the old business of demonstrations, and later formed a "right-wing" party to promote Western-style democracy and use this set of guiding ideas to oppose all actions of Putin.
And that's exactly what we talked about at the beginning, and conspiracy theorists believe that Putin deliberately harmed Nemtsov. But is this really the case?
At about 10 p.m. on February 27, 2015, Nemtsov and the 23-year-old Ukrainian supermodel had just finished supper and were walking down the street next to the Kremlin. Nemtsov repeatedly expressed his views on the Russian authorities in the conversation, and the humorous language could not help but make the female companion laugh, but what the two did not know was that several pairs of vicious eyes had been fixed on them.
According to the recollections of the people present, there was a peaceful atmosphere around the Kegong at that time, but suddenly, they heard a huge sound of car engines, and it was obvious that it must be in a state of high-speed driving. Just a few seconds later, a white sedan rushed behind them, and then the passenger in the back seat suddenly pulled out a pistol and emptied the clip at Nemtsov. In this way, Nemtsov, who was shot 7 times, collapsed in a pool of blood, because the bullet penetrated the heart, and his breathing had stopped long before the doctor arrived.
Killing such a heavyweight politician next to the Körk Palace, the murderer is obviously provoking, but because it is late that day and the white car is fleeing too fast, none of the people present can provide effective information.
The president said in a later interview that although Nemtsov was in a sense his "political enemy" and always opposed to himself, the two hated the oligarchs the same, but the methods of achieving the goal were different. Therefore, the arrest of Nemtsov's killer is not only to restore his innocence, but also to let the former deputy prime minister, who also has a passion, feel at ease on the road.
The case was solved quickly, and three days later, Moscow police traced the path of the white car and found 4 suspects in a house in the suburbs. However, as if they had premeditated, these criminals, after they heard that the door of the house had been kicked open, they actually aimed their guns at their own heads, fortunately, the police were quick and quick, and after 2 people committed suicide, they successfully "saved" the other 2 people.
After a month-long interrogation of them, the truth finally surfaced. All four are from the Chechnya region, and after Kadyrov came to power, they began a wandering life from the perspective of "Russia-hating", which is why they came into contact with some bad organizations in the Middle East in 2010.
Because of his different beliefs, Nemtsov had once been tougher than Putin on the Chechen issue, so these fanatics had a plan and killed Nemtsov next to the Kremlin, both to avenge their compatriots and to marry Putin, and before that, they had been monitoring Nemtsov for more than two months.
In a sense, rather than saying that Nemtsov is an "official fan", it is better to say that he is a "failed" politician, just like Putin said before, Nemtsov's hatred of oligarchs and attitude towards Chechnya fully show that he also has a deep love for Russia, but because of personal ability or personality, he has no chance to show his fists.
