DOIO Mini83 aluminum alloy custom mechanical keyboard kit, as the name suggests, adopts an 83-key layout, reduces the F-zone keys, retains independent arrow keys and numeric keypad area, so the overall size of the keyboard is narrow, but long. In addition, between the main key area and the numeric keypad, three vertical arrangement keys are crammed, the default FN, DEL, END, and below the keys are two indicators (CapsLock and Numlock), integrated into the DOIO LOGO.
The front appearance of the kit is relatively simple, CNC all-aluminum shell, electrophoretic white paint, wide border, large curvature corner, relatively sleek. Combined by the upper and lower covers (low upper cover, there will be an exposed shaft in the side view), the accuracy is not very good, slightly misaligned (there will be a seam feeling to the touch). Among them, the gasket structure is adopted, the upper and lower shells are fixed by the bottom screw string, and the inner tank is supported by long tampons. The inside of the shell is grooved (tampon position), while the bottom shell is slotted deeper, and the tampons are almost flat, which also means that the original doio Mini83 is almost no sinking deformation. However, after the assembly was completed, the test was played, and the cavity sound suppression was relatively excellent, and there was no resonance murmur. Its original satellite shaft is made of gold-plated steel wire, and there is not much oil in the factory state, and some keys will have room for tuning and improvement.
The bottom of the keyboard is relatively family-oriented. The transparent "window" design directly exposes the regular shaft seat. That is, when placing the keyboard every day, you need to pay attention to the foreign body at the bottom, otherwise it is easy to pierce this transparent panel. In addition, the keyboard adopts Type-C single-mode wired connection, supports full key hot swap, light position, reverse paste RGB LED, and presets an FR4 positioning board (relatively thick, the plug shaft is very tight, need to pay attention).
As a customized suite, it adopts the mainstream QMK scheme and supports VIA key change. Of course, RGB lighting is indispensable.
