A native of Yuezhen, Tengchong County, Yunnan Province, Li Bingquan was born on February 28, 1922, to a poor family with a small handicraft industry.
When he was seven or eight years old, his father died of illness and could not afford to be healed, and when he grew up to be thirteen or fourteen years old, his mother also died.
Before his mother died, she entrusted her lonely and helpless young son, Li Bingquan, to his brother and sister-in-law.
His brother and sister-in-law relied on two looms to weave cloth and sell cloth, and he was able to complete high school.
Li Bingquan is aware of his situation and has cultivated a spirit of diligence and progress since childhood.
After graduating, Li Bingquan left his hometown and hiked over The Gaoligong Mountain with his companions, which lasted for 2 months on the mountain road to Kunming, the provincial capital.
In the 1940s, there was a two-story medical laboratory building on the campus of Yunnan University. It was donated by Dong Chengnong and named "Chengnong Pavilion". Several simple houses, formed into the Yun University Medical College.
In 1941, at the age of 19, Li Bingquan was admitted to the Yunnan University Medical College (six-year system).

Hu Suqiu is also a student of Yun University Medical College, and is Li Bingquan's younger sister, two years lower than him.
Compared with Li Bingquan's arduous life and study experience, Hu Suqiu was born in Zhumen Xiuhu with no worries about food and clothing.
Hu Suqiu, born in October 1922, was born in Maolan Village, Maolan Town, Yun County, Lincang District, Yunnan. Her father was Hu Ying, a famous general in the Patriotic War and the acting chairman of Yunnan Province.
Hu Suqiu's brothers and sisters have a total of 18 people, as military commanders, 13 sisters are educated in the same way as their brothers.

At the end of 1949, Yunnan was liberated, and Li Bingquan and his girlfriend were very happy.
Li Bingquan proposed to Hu Suqiu, and the gift was a Parker fountain pen, which cost him a month's salary. This pen, Hu Suqiu treasured for 66 years.
The love at that time was so simple and pure, 66 years, from that day until the end of her life.

He has been engaged in medical work all his life, has been a doctor for a lifetime, and has taught students for a lifetime. Gradually, the aging Li Bingquan began to feel that his health was deteriorating.
Li Bingquan, who suffered from cerebral infarction and hypertensive arteriosclerosis, during his serious illness, Li Bingquan repeatedly remembered the past of his teacher Shen Fupeng's donation of the body, and strengthened his idea of donating the body.
"There are five sutras in the liturgy, which are more important than sacrifices', the body is donated, where do future generations go to worship?" All three of his children objected.
