My name is Liang Tianxiao, a native of Henan, and I am 63 years old this year. My hometown is in the mountainous area, relatively isolated and backward, my parents are honest farmers, the family is very poor, they pinned their hopes on me, since I was a child, I have been taught to study hard in the future, in order to live a good life.
When I went to school, my parents didn't let me do any housework, I studied wholeheartedly, I was very serious, very hardworking, very diligent, and my academic performance from elementary school to junior high school was good, and I have always maintained the top few in my grade. When I was 15 years old, I graduated from junior high school and took the early entrance examination for the normal school and became a normal student.
The three years of teaching are very happy times, and they are fleeting. After graduating from normal school, I was assigned to a village elementary school in my hometown as a mathematics teacher. There are not many students in the village primary school, there are only 8 teachers, and I live in the school alone. The low salary, loneliness, and poor teaching and living conditions made me study hard and obtain a college degree. After two years of teaching in the village elementary school, I was transferred to the town middle school to teach junior high school mathematics.
The 10 years in the town have left me with fond memories that will last a lifetime. I got married, she was a rural girl near the school, she didn't have much culture, but she was very beautiful and gentle, and I liked it. I have achieved very good teaching results and have received a large stack of honorary certificates. The school appreciated me and promoted me to head of the department, and later became the director of teaching and research.
When I was 30 years old, the quality of teaching in a large primary school in the town was not good, and I didn't know what the leaders thought, so they transferred me to be the vice principal in charge of teaching. I didn't leave the front line, managing teaching while taking a math class for the graduating class.
I gave demonstration classes to young teachers and led them to study teaching methods, and the quality of teaching in the town elementary school improved quickly, and in less than three years, it jumped to the top of the town and won the grand prize in the county. Six years later, the principal of the town elementary school retired, and I was promoted to the principal, starting my 20-year career as a principal.

The first time I participated in the evaluation, I ended up failing. I decided to fight again, I was only a few years away from retirement, and if I couldn't get the rating, I would give up.
At the meeting of all the principals of the town, I proposed that everyone should not fight for next year's "deputy high" index, and give me the quota again, no matter whether it can be evaluated or not, I will not want it in the future. I am old and qualified, and everyone agrees that I have once again embarked on a journey to fight for the title of "deputy high".
I spent more than half a year preparing for the micro-lesson, studying every knowledge point of primary school mathematics, carefully preparing the lesson, inviting the school's mathematics teacher to listen to the class, and asking them to give me suggestions and improve before speaking. In order to practice Mandarin, I try not to speak dialects in meetings and lectures.
In order to prepare the materials, I often didn't sleep until the second half of the night, and I tried my best to write the strokes neatly and make the materials very complete. Over the past year, I have added a lot of gray hair, my lumbar and cervical spine are also sore and sore, dizzy, my body is quite overdrawn, and I am always in a sub-healthy state. To be honest, after working for decades, I have never felt so bitter and tired.
The hard work paid off, and my "deputy high" review passed smoothly. A month later, my 20-year career as a principal came to an end. I invited more than a dozen particularly good colleagues to have a delicious meal in a small restaurant in the town to congratulate me on starting a new life.
I have a few thoughts on being rated as a "deputy high".
Now, I have been retired for 3 years. I have been a teacher and school leader for 42 years, and I remember the two years of the evaluation of the "deputy high school" in particular.
1. Participating in the "deputy high" is indeed a chore. For it, I have to stay up late and work overtime, and I am so tired that I collapse without knowing it, and I unconsciously overdraft my body. Again and again, I wanted to give up, but I didn't admit defeat, gritted my teeth in the entanglement, and moved forward with difficulty.
2. The evaluation of "deputy high" is based on real talent and real learning, and other auxiliary conditions are also required. Some people say that if you want to be rated as a "deputy high", you have to "go through the relationship", that is, treat and give gifts. In fact, it mainly depends on the strength of the teacher. Needless to say, I was able to be promoted, and my role as principal also helped.
3. Is the gain outweighed the loss of the evaluation of the "deputy high"? I have been suffering from lumbar and cervical spondylosis since I retired, and I also look quite old, which is indeed the sequelae of the evaluation of the "deputy high", and the lack of a pension of about 1,000 yuan per month will not affect my life. However, being promoted to "deputy high" can get a sense of honor and pride, and he also has more face among his old colleagues, which is not something that money can measure.
