The Red Sea Dive Club is a seaside resort located in Sudan, the main building is a row of red-roofed rooms facing the Red Sea, offering a full range of dining and accommodation.

When the distress message was received, the Israeli president ordered the Mossad to carry out a rapid operation to rescue, so the Mossad sent a team of 5 people led by Ali Kidron to Africa to carry out rescue operations.
Since Sudan is an Arab country, and the Arab countries and Israel have always been hostile, there is no official rescue in a big way. So Ali Kidron decided to rent the abandoned Red Sea Diving Club, built by the Italians, as a rescue base for rescue work.

Ethiopian Jews (mostly beta Israel) are said to be descendants of King Solomon and Queen Sheba, Queen of Ethiopia, more than two thousand years ago. They were one of the twelve tribes of Judaism living in Africa. After Mengistu Haile Mariam came to power in Ethiopia in 1977, about 2,500 or so Ethiopian Jews were brutally murdered and more than 7,000 Ethiopian Jews became homeless refugees in a matter of weeks.
In the early 1980s, Ethiopia suffered the worst famine since the 20th century, and coupled with the chaos caused by the civil war, Ethiopian Jews were forced to flee, with neighboring Sudan being their best choice. In 1977, he entered Sudan with Ethiopian refugees. Upon arrival, he began writing letters to major Jewish organizations, stating the precarious situation of the Beta Israelis and seeking help. One of the letters happened to fall into the hands of the Israeli Intelligence and Special Operations Agency, the Mossad. The matter quickly attracted the attention of the Mossad and was reported to the Israeli government.
When Israel's Prime Minister Menachem Begin heard about it, he said that he was also a refugee during the Nazi era, and that Israel was established to provide a safe haven for Jews and a stable home.
By then, more than 10,000 beta Jews had walked 800 kilometres to Sudan, a difficult and dangerous journey that had killed some 1,700 beta Jews.
For the survivors, the Israeli government decided to help them through the rest of the trip.
In 1981, in order to free the Jewish refugees from Ethiopia, Mossad agent Jud Himron (the prototype of the protagonist of Gad Shimron's film) and his team began to plan the rescue, and eventually they came up with a bold plan: they rented a small abandoned resort built by the Italians on the Red Sea in the 70s as a cover for the operation, and named the operation "Operation" Brothers)。
Operation Brotherhood was one of the lesser-known Mossad rescue operations that coincided with the worst famine ever suffered in Ethiopia, which, according to incomplete statistics, killed at least about 400,000 people between 1983 and 1985. When some photographs of the Ethiopian famine reached Europe and the United States, many civil society organizations wanted to help. However, Judd Himmlon wrote in his 1997 book Mossad Exodus, which describes all his encounters in Sudan: "There are many people singing songs like We Are The World, but only Israel is the only country that has actually put it into action". Judd Himmlon also wrote: "The civil war and famine caused many Ethiopian Jews to flee to neighboring Sudan, but Sudan was one of Israel's enemies at that time, and the Mossad could not just rush to rescue them, but had to plan else.".

Red Sea Diving Club is a film that means more than quality. Also in a foreign country, using the choreographed fake identity and fake agency for rescue operations, director Gideon Ralph obviously drew a lot of inspiration from the production of "Escape from Tehran", which is also based on true events. In terms of "Brothers Operation" alone, the rescue mission should reflect a more difficult and tense atmosphere due to its long cycle and many rescue targets, but "Red Sea Diving Club" is far less good than Ben Affleck's single-handed rescue of 5 people in "Escape from Tehran".
