After the war between Russia and Ukraine, although Ukraine's initial resistance achieved some results, as Russia quickly adjusted its tactics, Ukraine was quickly beaten to the point of "poor mountains and rivers". In this situation, the Ukrainian side did not consider surrender, but actively sought NATO's military assistance, but the military assistance promised by NATO from before the war after the war began, the content was still some individual weapons and individual protective equipment, which was difficult to meet Ukraine's needs.

(The weapons zelenskiy requested from NATO are very different from the weapons actually given by NATO.)
In recent days, according to the Global Times, Ukrainian President Zelenskiy once again called on the United States to seek military assistance, and even used the radical method. He expressed his belief that U.S. President Joe Biden wanted to help Ukraine achieve victory, but he directly warned the United States that if the United States wanted to prove that it was sincere in helping Ukraine, it would have to quickly supply fighter jets and missiles to Ukraine. However, the United States still did not respond to any requests from the Ukrainian side.
Some analysts believe that Ukraine has repeatedly requested assistance from NATO for MiG-29 fighters, indicating that the Ukrainian army really needs MiG-29 fighters. Because Ukraine, as an important member of the Soviet Union, inherited a lot of heritage when the Soviet Union collapsed, the Ukrainian Air Force had 260 miG-29 and su-27 and other third-generation fighters, but 30 years later in Ukraine, there are less than 70 su-27s and miG-29s that can fly, especially heavy fighters such as the Su-27, leaving even less.
(The number of Su-27 fighters in Ukraine is not much.)
Not only that, Ukrainian pilots fly less than 39 hours a year, and most pilots fly light and medium fighters such as the MiG-29 to save resources, so Ukraine can only count on MiG-29 fighters to help Ukraine "achieve the final victory". However, the military leaders of the United States and NATO countries are very aware that even with NATO's fighter assistance, Ukraine can no longer "change its life against the sky", and under the absolute air superiority of the Russian army, no matter how many MiG-29s are only a living target for the Russian army.
In addition, the Russian army quickly shouted to NATO after the start of the war, all vehicles that deliver military assistance to Ukraine will be taken as a reasonable target by the Russian army, and Russia has also set up a no-fly zone in Ukraine, in this case, although Poland and other countries are willing to send MiG-29s to Ukraine, how to transport the industry is a big problem. Poland hopes to transfer these MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine through the US military to reduce Russia's hostility to Poland, and even directly send troops to Poland, while the United States is worried that if the MiG-29 fighter is transported to Ukraine in the name of NATO, it will trigger three wars, and eventually both sides are reluctant to come forward, and the Ukrainian army has not yet used the MiG-29.
(The F-15, a Western third-generation aircraft, is very different from the Su-27 and MiG-29 often used by Ukrainian pilots.)
Zelenskiy is very unhappy with nato's attitude, having previously asked NATO to send 1% of the total number of tanks to Ukraine to help Ukraine fight, and 1% of the total NATO tanks is about 200-500 tanks, which is obviously unlikely. Subsequently, Ukraine again asked the United States to provide advanced fighters such as F-15s and F-16s to help Ukraine fight, but Ukraine did not have pilots who could fly such fighters, and even if the U.S. military was willing to provide fighters, it would take a long time to complete the training of Ukrainian pilots, which was obviously unrealistic. Zelenskiy said that if it cannot provide advanced fighters for Ukraine, then it will support some "Soviet-era" fighters, and the United States has not responded.
Experts said that the current situation in Ukraine is obviously not through one or two advanced weapons can be changed, Ukraine and Russia's comprehensive national strength, military strength is too large, and Russia also has a strong strategic deterrent capability, which is also the most taboo part of NATO, even if the Russian military in the early stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war performance is not good, but NATO still does not dare to "take Russia lightly", and the relationship between NATO and Ukraine, in essence, is not an ally, Ukraine is more like a "tool" for NATO to provoke and reduce Russia's national strength. After achieving its goal, NATO does not really care about the life and death of the "tool".
