Ye Ji is a smart, hard-working and compassionate young girl, but she is abused by her stepmother, and one of her beloved divine fish is brutally booby-trapped and eaten by her stepmother, and the fish bones are buried. The divine fish transformed into a fairy and told Ye Zhi the location of the fish bone, and Ye Zhi only prayed for the fish bone to respond.
When the Cave Man Festival arrived, Ye Zhi put on the golden shoes of the green clothes he had obtained by praying to the fish bones, and quietly went out to participate in the festival rally, but was noticed by his stepmother and lost a golden shoe in a panic. The golden shoe later reached the hands of King Tokhan on the adjacent island. Surprised and delighted, the king ordered a woman to try on gold shoes in order to find its owner, and finally found Ye Ji.
When the king marries Ye Jie as queen, Cinderella completely changes her fate. But the story does not end with a reunion of European "Cinderella-esque" fairy tales, but ends with the king's greedy prayer for failure and the fishbone being swept away by the tide.
