Sony has quietly announced that all online and multiplayer features of the PS4 game Everybodys Golf will be permanently rolled off the production in September. This will make some trophies uncollectible, but the game's single-player and offline modes will still be playable.

As Gemattsu discovered, if you check out Golf for All web store on PS4, you'll see a new notification informing players that on September 30 "all online features, including online multiplayer mode) will cease on that date." ”
Golf for All was launched on PS4 in August 2017 and was developed by Clap Hanz. The studio has been making arcade golf games for more than two decades. The studio released their latest golf game, Clap Hanz Golf, on Apple Arcade last year.
While it's been satisfying that this somewhat niche game has been able to sustain servers for more than five years, it's still sad to see the online features in the game shut down. But at least this time, players have six months to earn a trophy or play their last match with an online friend.
It does make me worry about other older PS4 games and how long their servers will last, especially with the recent growing news of shutting down online services from previous-generation consoles, hoping that the industry will transition more smoothly to the new generation of consoles.
