Jiang Yuting has worked in the editing industry for nearly a decade, whether it is professional standards or communication skills, it has always been a good reputation in the publishing industry. Many authors have reported that dealing with Jiang Yuting is to make you feel "comfortable" from beginning to end. In a publishing house or book publishing company, there are not a few old editors who have been in the industry for more than ten years or even decades, so as a young editor, what kind of charm can make the author have such a good feeling? This intrigued me, so I sent her an invitation to do an exclusive interview with her. In this interview, she mainly talked about the following four aspects:

Jiang Yuting university undergraduate and master's degree students, are majoring in journalism and communication. When talking about how she got into book editing, she told me a story.
On the eve of her graduate school, she interned at a book publishing company. The first book she edited and published in her career was called "Love is a Slave Work", which was a collection of essays. The author is a well-known essayist in Hunan, who has published many works in well-known media such as People's Daily, Guangming Daily, and China Youth Daily. As an intern editor, jiang Yuting faced such a famous artist, how can she let her review opinions on the manuscript be recognized by him? She has always insisted on one thing, that is, sincere service. With a very serious attitude, carefully review the reading draft, seriously evaluate the book manuscript, and carefully write the review opinion. In the end, she was not only highly recognized by the author, but also invited by the author to revise and improve the manuscript together. With their joint efforts, the book was not only successfully published, but also received a warm response from the market. At the same time, the high-quality editing and processing of the book manuscript has also been highly recognized by the Hunan People's Publishing House, and Jiang Yuting has been formally recruited into the publishing house as a responsible book editor.

Although the author is a well-known lawyer, he is also a member of the Hunan Writers Association and is very confident in his writing ability. After receiving this manuscript, Jiang Yuting not only conscientiously completed the typesetting of the manuscript, but also conscientiously did a good job in editing and processing. When the printed sample was handed over to the author for signature, the author once again carefully reviewed the manuscript sample, and hardly found a hard wound in the manuscript. This makes the author admire Jiang Yuting's work ability and level, and respect her as a person. After the book was published, the author also specially invited Jiang Yuting to be the host of his new book launch.

If it is said that treating people sincerely and being conscientious and responsible should be the necessary qualities for an excellent editor to deal with authors, then being good at learning can be said to be another magical charm of Jiang Yuting as a young editor.
Although a book editor is assigned to the corresponding book editing department by the publishing house according to his professional expertise. But the social resources that an editor has are very rich and complex, so the book manuscript resources he obtains are also very rich and colorful. This requires a book editor to study hard with an open mind and constantly update his knowledge structure in order to adapt to the changing needs of new jobs. And Jiang Yuting is such an editor who dares to learn and is good at learning, so as to continuously gain the author's favor and praise.
The Notes on the Southern Shi Ti Hook and the Ming Shi Ming Shi Shi Lu - Historical Materials of the Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Western Hunan are two ancient books edited by Jiang Yuting. Among them, the book "Notes on the School of Nanshi Ti Hook" is a proofreading of the book "NanShi Ti Hook" by Mr. Liu Yongji, a master of chinese studies in the mainland, the former acting president of Wuhan University, and a first-class professor, and the book "Ming Shi Ming Shi Lu - Historical Materials of The West Hunan Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture" is a collection of historical materials about the West Hunan Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and the surrounding areas selected from the "Ming History" and "Ming ShiLu". Because these two manuscripts are written in chinese, the content is complicated. In the face of these two book manuscripts, many old editors at that time were embarrassed, but Jiang Yuting bravely took over the editing and processing of these two book manuscripts. In the process of editing and processing, she pointed out many problems in the manuscript through continuous learning and continuous verification. In the end, several old professors were convinced and admired: "After several of our professors repeatedly read the manuscripts edited and processed by Jiang Yuting, they actually did not find a single place to correct the mistakes. One of the professors also had a love for talent, promising her that if she wanted to study as a doctoral student in archaeology and Chinese, he could recommend her to the most authoritative expert in the study of ancient Chinese in China. I think it is precisely the charm of Jiang Yuting's good at learning that finally impressed these professors.
Fourth, the attitude of thinking of others has been widely recognized by the author
China's publishing market is a publisher's market, and publishing houses have a very strong position in this market. The author side, if it is not a very well-known writer or an authority in a certain field, has a very weak position in this market. In addition, many authors in the creation of book manuscripts, focus on the writing of the manuscript, lack of clear positioning of the manuscript market and readers, lack of accurate planning of the social and economic benefits of the manuscript, when their painstaking works are sent to the publishing house, but the publishing house again and again rejected. This is not because the authors are not of a high standard, but because they have not sunk their hearts to discover the intrinsic value of the manuscript. Jiang Yuting is a young editor who can help authors discover the useful value of book manuscripts and think about the author.
One author spent years painstakingly writing a book manuscript, which recorded the traditional skills of the folk nine workers and eighteen craftsmen in a graphic and textual form, and attached a roster of field interviews with traditional practitioners in a certain county. Since then, the manuscript has also won relevant regional awards. The author is grateful for her helpful help.
Jiang Yuting's monograph "Case of Book Publishing Manuscript Review" is about to be completed, and I am honored to read her book manuscript for the first time.
