Barca confirmed they would waive two players
Barcelona president Laporta appears to have confirmed that the club have agreed to sign Frank Casey and Christensen this summer. Both players will become free agents at the end of the season, with Casey turning down a contract from AC Milan, who has reportedly completed a medical check-up at Barcelona. Meanwhile, Christensen's contract with Chelsea could not be renewed during sanctions against incumbent boss Abramovich, while Laporta has all but confirmed reports that the two are about to arrive at Camp Nou. In an interview with the media, Laporta said: "We have completed two signings for next season. One is a midfielder and the other is a centre-back. But I'm not allowed to mention their names. Christensen has made 156 appearances for Chelsea since 2018 but has only started 14 Premier League games this season, while Casey scored five goals for the top-ranked Rossonere in 23 Serie A games in 2021-22. While Casey and Christensen appear to be on their way to Catalonia, Laporta ruled out messi returning to the club from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Manchester United Reds are vying for the new Portugal international
Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly vying for signing rights for Porto midfielder Ottavio. The 27-year-old had a strong season under manager Concesson, making 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and assisting 12 times. Ottavio's excellent club form has also allowed him to stand out in the Portuguese national team. The midfielder scored one goal and another in the 2022 World Cup play-offs in last week's 3-1 win over Turkey. According to Portuguese media, both Manchester United and Liverpool are closely watching Otavio's developments ahead of the summer transfer, but the Portugal international will not join at a low price. The report added that Otavio had a €60 million termination clause in his contract with Porto, which he extended last year until the summer of 2025. Since coming to Porto from Inter Milan in 2014, Ottavio has scored 24 goals and assisted 61 times in 228 games, and Newcastle United are also considered interested in him.

Dortmund are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Jesus from Manchester City as part of a deal with Haaland.
