The U.S. Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter consists of three cameras, two spectrometers, a radar and two "scientific facility instruments", HiRISE (camera), CTX (camera), MARCI (camera), CRISM (spectrometer), Mars climate explorer, SHARAD (radar), gravity field survey package, Electra communications package.

Among them, HiRISE (camera) is a reflecting telescope with a diameter of 0.5 meters, at an altitude of 300 kilometers, hiRISE has a maximum resolution of 0.3 meters, which is higher than the resolution of the Earth satellite image, to know that the resolution of the Earth satellite is about 0.5 meters, and the satellite image resolution on Google Maps is about 1 meter.

This black and white strip map also shows extraordinary topography, impact craters and sand dunes, and also shows three small black dots, namely the lander, the heat shield, the Zhu Rong, and the wheel print, and it is clear that the resolution of this black and white strip map reaches 0.5 meters.

China's Tianwen-1 operated on a circumferential orbit of 10,700 kilometers from the far fire point and about 265 kilometers near the fire point, with an inclination angle of 86.3 degrees and a period of 7.8 hours.

The Tianwen-1 orbiter includes two cameras, a radar and four scientific analyzers, a medium resolution camera (MoRIC), a high-resolution camera (HiRIC), a orbiter subsurface detection radar (MOSIR), a Mars Mineral Spectrometer (MMS), a Mars Magnetometer (MOMAG), a Mars Ion and Neutral Particle Analyzer (MINPA), and a Mars Energy Particle Analyzer (MEPA).

Among them, the high-resolution camera (HiRIC) in panchromatic mode, at an altitude of 256 kilometers, the maximum resolution is about 0.5 meters, and the photos taken tonight are clear and abnormal, but they have not yet reached 0.3 meters.

Clarity at a glance

The "Zhurong" strip map taken by the US Mars reconnaissance orbiter is colored, and the strip map taken by the Tianwen-1 orbiter is black and white, which is not the point, the point is that the wheel prints taken by the US orbiter show two, and the wheel prints taken by the Chinese orbiter can only show one.

The highest resolution of the Tianwen-1 orbiter is around 0.5 meters, while the maximum resolution of the US Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter is 0.3 meters.
