According to the Mirror reported on March 23, five 4,000-year-old tombs were unearthed in Egypt last week, and a large number of handicrafts were found in the burial chambers, with exquisite shapes and colors.
The place where the tomb was excavated was in Segara, just outside Cairo, known as the "City of the Dead". The largest stepped pyramid in Egypt is located in this area, including the famous Pyramid of Khufu. Previously, many mummies have been excavated in this area, which is the best place to study the history of ancient Egypt.
The five tombs unearthed from Sakkara date back to between the Old Kingdom period and the First Intermediate Period in Egypt. Officials from Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed that the owners of the tombs were high-ranking officials and dignitaries of the time, probably government and opposition advisers and priests.
The latest excavations have revealed that these tombs have exquisite frescoes. The burial chamber contains about 20 sarcophagi, toys, small wooden boats, masks and other handicrafts with delicious patterns and colors.
In this regard, mostafa Waziri, secretary general of egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, is very proud, believing that these newly excavated tombs will "shock the world". It is reported that the excavation and excavation of these antiquities are all done by the Egyptians themselves, and the excavation work is still continuing.
Previously, archaeologists have found two hidden spaces inside the Pyramid of Khufu, but there is currently no evidence of the use of these burial chambers. The excavation of these tombs may confirm that the hidden space inside the Pyramid of Khufu is the tomb of the pharaohs.
