To protect the qipao culture, we must not ignore the cultural relics of the qipao
In addition to protecting the qipao culture itself, it is also necessary to attach importance to the technical protection, maintenance and repair of the qipao itself. Many precious costumes and cultural relics, most of which have been damaged after excavation, can no longer be displayed, so whether it is cultural relics workers or inheritors of qipao culture and art, we must pay attention to the protection of silk fabrics and other costumes, combined with modern protection technology, so that the material cultural heritage can be perpetuated.

In the past, when we talked about the protection of qipao culture, most of the protected content revolved around the following aspects: the traditional craftsmanship of the qipao, the application of fabrics, national colors, special craftsmanship, unique design, long history and cultural connotation, it can be said that the comprehensive protection of the qipao culture has been achieved, which also makes people inadvertently ignore one of the attributes of the qipao, that is, the cultural relics of the qipao.
China is an ancient civilization with a world reputation, and the people of all ethnic groups have jointly created valuable cultural heritage in the long historical process. Protecting cultural heritage and inheriting Chinese civilization is an important foundation for connecting national emotional ties, enhancing national unity, safeguarding national unity and social stability, and is also an important prerequisite for safeguarding the world's cultural diversity and creativity and promoting the common development of mankind. The qipao and qipao culture are precisely the cultural heritage that needs to be protected.
We should not only understand the qipao as a Manchu costume in a narrow sense, but look at the qipao culture from the perspective of Manchu history. The history of the Manchus is very long, and its origins can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, which was recorded in China 3,000 years ago. The Manchus at that time, formerly known as the Sushen people, were one of the earliest recorded inhabitants of northeast China at that time, living in the area of the ussuri river in the present-day Changbai Mountains. Therefore, the development and evolution of the qipao culture, even dating back to 3,000 years ago, is a veritable origin culture.
