According to Geely, the Binrui CCOL is a new car launched for the "Z generation".
Before that, I had no idea of the new word, and I didn't know if I belonged to Gen Z or not. Later, I checked Baidu Encyclopedia, and it turned out that Generation Z refers to young people born between 1995 and 2009. Can't help but sigh, well, or slightly overaged.
Here, with a thief's thick skin, I refer to myself as "Quasi-Generation Z." After all, in fact, I didn't drag my feet much, and others said that I was well maintained and looked like a young man, so it was reasonable.

As a "quasi-Z generation", my personal understanding of the ideal car has three main aspects.
The first aspect is that it looks cool enough.
Binrui COOL, which even has a particularly cool name, is certainly not a problem in this regard. The first is that it has blackened light sets, large-area blackened grilles, 18-inch blackened wheels and other components, creating a sporty atmosphere that is enough.
It is worth mentioning that its chassis is 5mm lower than the ordinary version of Binrui, creating a relatively low feeling. Coupled with this smooth big slipback, the keyboard value of the entire body posture is very high. This saves young people thousands of modification costs, incense.
Color matching is also an important part. When I bought my first car, I paid an extra two thousand yuan and chose a more textured paint.
Binrui COOL can be said to be quite in place in this regard, providing "fierce green", "vitality lemon", "blazing red", "racing gray", "chasing light white" five body colors, any choice, may not need to spend additional money.
Coupled with the orange enveloping kit around the body, as well as the bright yellow brake calipers, the contrast effect created is still cool enough, I personally prefer "fierce green", at least there are not many cars that provide similar colors on the market.
It looks cool enough not only to the exterior, but also to find some small surprises when you open the doors. There is also a color block design in terms of color matching, and the elements are consistent with the body color, which does not look dull.
The central control trim and seat use a large number of suede-like materials, in addition to looking textured, it is also good enough to touch and use. Coupled with the wrap-around seat design, I think it can still support the body well when driving intensely.
In addition, elements like the dual screen (10.25-inch full LCD instrument + 12.3-inch central control large screen), the electronic block will look and be particularly cool to use, which is naturally an indispensable element to please the Z generation.
Of course, from the perspective of "quasi-Z generation", the car looks cool enough, and it must be cool enough to drive. And this is the second necessary element of the ideal car.
It's just that how binrui COOL is driving, I can't give any conclusions for the time being, after all, I can't start driving it yet, so I can only give some personal expectations.
Judging from the tail mark of the 290T, the Binrui COOL is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 133 kW (181 hp), and the maximum torque may be 290 Nm, which can indeed give people a sense of excitement.
However, according to experience, the more critical part of the driving experience is the gearbox, and once the mud is dragged with water, it is very envious to affect the rhythm. Binrui COOL is matched with a 7-block dual-clutch transmission, which performs well on other Geely models, but it can also be faster. If The Gearbox of Binrui COOL can indeed have faster gear changes, then the taste is right.
The chassis structure is not much different from The Binrui, the front McPherson, the rear torque beam, I don't know if the suspension stroke is 5mm lower, does it have any substantive effect? Have there been any fine-tuning in other aspects? I'll have to try it to know.
The last aspect is that the price is high enough.
This is very understandable, who does not want to spend a small amount of money and do a big thing? Not to mention the Generation Z who have just entered the workplace.
In this regard, I am not worried, after all, the Geely models on the market have a good cost performance, and I believe that Binrui COOL will not be an exception. If it is close to the current Binrui, the main model is mainly in the price range of about 90,000-100,000, then considering the upgrade points mentioned above, the degree of purchase is still quite high.
It's worth looking forward to.
