Exercising for 2 hours a day to promote the healthy growth of adolescents still needs to solve three major problems

author:Rambo Cultural and Creative Research Institute

Introduction

"Healthy China" is the development strategy of the mainland, therefore, the physical health of adolescents has undoubtedly attracted much attention, and in the "14th Five-Year Plan for Sports Development" issued by the State General Administration of Sport, many suggestions have been put forward to ensure the physical health of adolescents, including effectively ensuring that adolescents have 2 hours of physical exercise time per day, improving the quality of physical education teaching, and improving the theory of physical fitness scores.

Before the "two sessions", China Youth Daily made a decision on the Internet through its all-media platform to "enhance the physical fitness of young people, what issues do you hope the two sessions will pay attention to?" According to the survey, the data shows that 61.5% of the population hopes that the "two sessions" will focus on "whether teenagers can guarantee 2 hours of physical exercise time per day", 58.7% of the people hope that the "two sessions" will pay attention to "improving the quality of youth physical education teaching", and 50.3% of the people hope that the "two sessions" will pay attention to "changing the only score theory of physical education".

According to the survey data, it can be seen that the current direction of society's emphasis on ensuring the physical health of adolescents will be discussed in this article from three directions.

The importance and difficulty of ensuring 2 hours of physical exercise time per day

Sports can promote the improvement of national physical fitness, to ensure national health has become the current social well-known truth, and for adolescents who are in the stage of physical growth, to ensure adequate physical exercise is the key factor to promote their physical health growth, in the previous society, because of the high academic pressure of adolescents, electronic product temptations and other issues, resulting in the number of "small fat mounds", "small glasses" increased.

In this regard, the "Opinions of the State Council on the Implementation of healthy China Action" clearly pointed out that students should be guided to develop healthy living habits from an early age, exercise a healthy physique, prevent myopia, obesity and other diseases, and put forward the goal, by 2022 and 2030, the national student physical health standards will reach 50% and above and 60% and above, respectively, the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents in the country will strive to reduce by more than 0.5 percentage points per year, and the rate of new myopia will decrease significantly.

Therefore, ensuring that adolescents have enough physical exercise in the process of growing up is in line with the development strategy of "Healthy China", and the 2-hour exercise time requirement is finally derived according to scientific calculation methods.

However, 2 hours of physical exercise time may not seem like much, but for teenagers with academic pressure to ensure that there is no small difficulty, many parents of students said that children can have time to run and jump rope after school every day, and it is not easy to fully guarantee 2 hours of physical exercise, but as a post-learning adjustment, the intensity cannot be guaranteed.

It can be seen that even after the "double reduction" policy, the youth physical exercise time is still not abundant, the focus is still that the academic pressure is too heavy, in this regard, parents should appropriately adjust the mentality, do not give the child too much learning pressure, to ensure that the child has a pleasant, healthy growth environment, and at the same time in the case of personal companionship time is not allowed, according to the child's personal interests, choose a professional sports training institution, in order to ensure that the daily physical exercise time of teenagers is of quality and quantity.

More attention should be paid to improving the quality of physical education

After talking about family physical exercise, let's talk about school physical education, under the requirements of the national multi-policy, the physical education class hours of adolescents have gradually increased, and the phenomenon of "physical education class for mathematics class" may have been alleviated somewhat, but according to many parents, although today's physical education class time has indeed improved, its teaching quality is not enough to make people agree.

"Listening to the child, the teacher will take two laps and do games in class." According to some parents of students, the school's emphasis on the teaching quality of physical education is seriously insufficient.

Such a quality of physical education for the growth of adolescents obviously does not have a very good leading role, whether it is the policy requirements of "every teenager to master 1-2 sports skills", or through physical exercise to ensure the fundamental purpose of healthy physique, can not achieve the expected effect, for this, the local education bureaus and schools should pay attention to.

From the perspective of difficulty in implementation, it is mainly due to the insufficient reserve of teachers and the habits accumulated over the years. If you want to solve the problems in the quality of physical education teaching, you should start from two directions, one is to increase the professional physical education teacher reserve of schools in various regions, and the other is to ensure the improvement of the quality of physical education on campus by reaching cooperation with professional off-campus sports training institutions. At the same time, campus physical education should also focus on teaching according to aptitude, so as to prevent outstanding sports talents from being buried on campus.

Change the meritocracy of physical education

In order to enhance the attention of various localities and schools to sports, many provinces and cities in the mainland have increased the proportion of sports in the middle school examination, this measure can indeed make sports more important as soon as possible, but there are also hidden dangers, will sports become the next "test-oriented education"? Will the sports meritocracy breed in the hearts of teachers, students and parents? Judging from the current situation, this view has already shown signs of breeding.

Some parents said that too much emphasis on score orientation will make children resist physical exercise. For example, some children are good at running, some children are not good at it, but if the school physical education class is going to run a race, it is difficult for children who are not good at running to experience the fun, if they always lose in the competition, then it will undoubtedly breed negative emotions in the hearts of teenagers, and even hate physical education class and hate sports.

Of course, the author's view is not that sports competitions at all levels should not be held, but that according to the needs of students, we should try to achieve full coverage of sports competitions at all levels, so as to ensure that young people can enjoy the fun of sports while completing physical exercise, and then jointly help their growth in both body and mind.

At the same time, the school can also improve the children's teamwork ability by organizing more team sports and appropriately holding competition activities, which will also have a good role in promoting their future entry into society.
