Crossfire publisher Offworld Industries announced today that it has acquired its development partner on the game, Vancouver-based Redstone Interactive.
No purchase price was disclosed, but Offworld said that under the terms of the deal, Redstone CEO Bruno de Araujo will continue to run the studio's day-to-day business as creative director.
"This decision will allow us to take advantage of the established infrastructure, distribution and technical support that Offworld can provide us with, allowing us to fully develop Across the Line of Fire," Redstone said in an announcement on the game's website.
"With an ambitious roadmap taking us to version 1.0 and beyond, we see this new direction as the best step in our future plans. We are excited to work more closely with Offworld Industries and look forward to the development of Across the Line of Fire and their support and expertise to improve every aspect of the project." ”
Crossfire has been released on Steam as Early Access since October 2020 and is currently receiving "mostly positive" reviews.
