Qi Desan's new book "Chinese Porcelain on the Silk Road" was published by Jiangxi University Press on March 15, 2022. "Silk Road" is the general name of the ancient commercial trade routes to Asia, Africa, Europe and other places starting from China, and is divided into the overland "Silk Road" and the maritime "Silk Road".

At the end of the 19th century, the German geographer Richthofen proposed the famous term "Silk Road", and in the 1960s, the Japanese scholar Sanji proposed the "Ceramic Road".

The production and development of Chinese ceramics has made outstanding contributions to human culture. Ancient Chinese ceramics were not only indispensable objects Chinese daily life, art appreciation and other activities, but also sold abroad through the Silk Road. The length, breadth and influence of ancient Chinese ceramics sold overseas are beyond the reach of other commodities. Many Westerners' perception of Chinese culture comes from porcelain, which in their minds represents China.

The author, Qi Desan, researcher, writer, member of the Chinese Ancient Ceramics Society, was the executive editor of Chinese Ceramics (Art Edition), and is currently the deputy general manager of Jingdezhen Huayi Auction Co., Ltd., the consultant of Jingdezhen New Literary and Art Group Association, the consultant of Jingdezhen Chinese and Foreign Ceramic Art Association, the honorary editor-in-chief of Oriental Ceramics, and the honorary dean of Shanghai Jingse Guofeng College. He has published ceramic culture works such as "Ceramics Vertical and Horizontal", "Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Master", "Zhushan Scavenging", "Cai Yuxiang Tibetan Porcelain", "Ceramics and Music", "Ceramics and Museum", "Ceramics and National Ceremony", etc., and held more than 30 lectures on "The Story Behind Ceramics" in Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Museum, Xi'an Conservatory of Music and other parts of the country, and won the "2017 Ceramics Academic and Review" award.
