GM said that the design and development process of the GMC HUMMER EV model will be produced into a REVOLUTION documentary, which will premiere in North America on March 27.
The film was produced by the GMC brand in collaboration with A+E Networks and is about 60 minutes long and directed by Sean King O'Grady. It will show how to build GM's first all-electric pickup truck in two years, disrupt electric vehicle functionality and break through 100 years of experience in vehicle development.
It is reported that the filming team followed the vehicle development team to conduct winter ice and snow tests in Michigan, to Moab, Utah for extreme off-road testing, and to shoot at the General Global Technology Center and Design Center. In addition, the film documents the development process and assembly of the GM Aoteneng platform.
As a reference, the new car has been delivered at the end of 2021 and has been exhibited in China; the HUMMER EV SUV will be put into production in 2023. Not long ago, GM China President Bai Li revealed at a media communication meeting that this year will focus on the high-end import car business, and is currently forming a start-up team internally, HUMMER EV is very likely to introduce sales.
