The theme of "Jinling Red Sleeve Six Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" includes Ji Chunhong's "Spring", Sun Liping's "Li", Xing Manli's "Man", Liu Xiaoling's "Miao" (玅), Yang Fenping's "Fen", Yu Yuhua's "Hua", which is really "wonderful"!

Sun Liping close-up
Sun Liping studied at Jinling Institute of Science and Technology and Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is now a member of the Jiangsu Literary and Art Critics Association, a special painter of the Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting, and a member of the Provincial Artists Association, and co-authored "Classic Paintings of Nanjing Dynasties" with Professor Zuo Zhuangwei.

Looking at Sun Liping's paintings, I think of a person, Li Qingzhao, who also lived in Jinling about a year ago. She wrote: Mo Dao does not extinguish the soul, the curtain rolls in the west wind, and the person is thinner than the yellow flower. Sun Liping did not have Li Qingzhao's great depression, but strangely, in front of her, she still felt a kind of quiet struggle, a kind of soul-destroying persistence.
Her bird stands silently on the branches, showing elegance and inner beauty. I think that people who choose birds for art must be sensitive.
Her birds are delicate, agile, expressive and endearing, showing her solid skills. The background of the bird, like a tree like a stone, uses some freehand. Why did she deal with reality in this way? If you study deeper, there will be a deeper meaning.
She was quiet, but full. Cold, but not bitter. She is quiet, but she has a yearning. This yearning is not earth-shattering, but it is persistent and strong. For many years, she has quietly adhered to her own world and carefully cultivated the dedication of traditional Chinese flower and bird paintings in her heart.
In this material-filled era, it is not impetuous, not utilitarian, self-respecting, and frank, so in her flower and bird paintings, she exudes a pure, elegant, and arrogant temperament. I said a long time ago: When you express yourself deeply, you are actually expressing human beings. This is also appropriate to apply to Sun Liping, because her paintings represent a secret side of our hearts.

Sketching is a process of dialogue between the individual and nature, a process of transforming from visual feelings into spiritual gains. With the help of natural forms, I realize my exploration and pursuit of the relationship between point and line, sparse and dense, virtual and real, and what is more valuable is the beauty when the inner pursuit and external expression coincide, which makes me intoxicated, making me redouble my efforts in order to obtain such feelings again, and I think this is also the motivation for the painter to continue to sketch regardless of hard work.
The banana leaves that have experienced vicissitudes and brokenness have straight lines, curves, round lines, square lines, whole leaves and broken leaves, which are combined together, rich and changeable. How do I express its richness and variability, how to express the beauty I have captured, how to reveal what I feel, I am ready to get rid of its original objects, exaggerate my feelings, strengthen the sense of composition of the picture, I put thick ink, light ink, boneless, double hook, big freehand, small freehand.....
My eighteen martial arts were selected to be used, but they were not very satisfied. Looking at the palm that can be seen everywhere, the palm leaves show curves, polylines, upward lines and sagging lines, plus the fruit of the palm, which is a symphony of points and lines, constituting a fascinating formal beauty. Those vines, the branches are longitudinal and interspersed, the curve and straightness of the lines, the sparseness and density, the length and the short, the thickness and the thinness, it is simply a carnival of lines. Kandinsky said this; ''The musician Wagner uses pure musical techniques to create a spiritual atmosphere'' "His music brings us into a realm that we experience without ears and with our hearts, and the same should be true of sketching, without eyes and hearts."

The exhibition site is at No. 133 Olympic Sports Street, Hexi CBD Cultural Square (South Square), see the high-rise building above, down the escalator of the square to the minus second floor, the left hand, is the Exhibition Hall of the Culture and Art Center of the Jiangsu Collectors Association (as shown below).
