The French Order of Arts and Literature (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres), established in 1957 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, is one of the four ministerial honorary medals in France and the highest honor awarded to the literary and artistic community by the French government. Recipients of this medal include Mo Yan, Zhang Yimou, Ang Lee, Jia Zhangke, Lang Lang, Jackie Chan and many other well-known figures in the cultural and artistic circles.

From 1980 to 2011, Mr. Li Kunwu served as the director of the fine art photography department of Spring City Evening News, a director of the Yunnan Provincial Artists Association, and a standing director of the China News and Comics Research Association.
