Justin Chambers announced his departure from the Grey Anatomy crew

On Jan. 10, Chambers wrote in a statement: "The show and the character have occupied such an important place in my life for the past 15 years that it is time to say goodbye to it." However, for some time now, I've wanted to diversify my acting roles and careers. When I was 50, my wife and five lovely children supported me, and now is the time.

Fans are arguing online, though, but they're mainly worried about how Alex Clive in Grey's Anatomy will be written out of the show. Chambers' final episode was reportedly aired on Nov. 14, and many viewers feared that Alex wouldn't have the right chance to quit. Since then, the show has been carefully centered around this topic. But now, it seems that the audience will find the real reason why Alex left the crew. In the trailer for Episode 16 of Grey's Anatomy Season 16, the TV station will announce that fans will say goodbye to Alex on Thursday, March 5.
