According to Deadline, Amazon is in talks with Sony to adapt the well-known action game God of War into a live-action series. The show will be co-created by American producers Mark Fergus and Hawke Osby, and Wheel of Time producer Leif Jaggins.

Produced by Sony Santa Monica Studios, the God of War series consists of 7 games spanning 4 PS consoles. The first installment in the series, launched on PS2 in 2005, tells the story of the former Spartan warrior Kratos, under the influence of Ares, the god of war, who killed his loved one and decided to take revenge on Ares.
In the sequels such as "God of War 2" and "God of War 3", Kratos continued to experience countless victories and setbacks in his long life, and killed many gods in ancient Greek mythology. In the new version of "God of War" launched in 2018, the story of Qui-Ye was restarted, fighting alongside his son Atreus, and the background of the story changed from ancient Greek mythology to Norse mythology.
The latest installment in the God of War series, God of War: Twilight of the Gods, is currently in production, and the game will explore atelius' true identity and his struggle for legacy, and is expected to go live this year.
