Zelenskiy used the device on Saturday to have a 35-minute call with Biden, the report said.

The communications equipment is just a fraction of the aid the United States and its NATO allies have provided to Ukraine in recent days, including more than 17,000 anti-tank missiles and hundreds of millions of dollars worth of military equipment.

According to The New York Times, U.S. and German military intelligence officials are also gathering satellite intelligence on russian military movements and passing it on to the Ukrainian military.

U.S. and NATO aid to Ukraine in the field of communications was partially revealed on Sunday, with Dennis Pushlin, the leader of donetsk's civilian armed forces, saying a laptop containing intelligence had been found at an abandoned headquarters of the far-right ultra-nationalist paramilitary group Right Zone. Pushlin said the laptop had a detailed map of the area of operations, including the location of Donetsk troops.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Zelenski can also be supported by the elite British and American commando troops on standby in Lithuania, which are ready to take him out of Ukraine in an emergency.

During a video conference with U.S. lawmakers on Saturday, Zelenskiy asked the U.S. side to provide more weapons and set up a no-fly zone, or they "may never see him alive again." On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken assured that Kiev had developed contingency plans to address the question of who would be Zelenski's successor after his death.

According to CNN, Zelenskiy gave a nine-minute speech in his office on Monday, saying that "Ukrainian troops are holding their ground" and that he himself is still in Kiev and "no one is afraid of anyone." CNN noted that this is the first time since Russia's special military operation that Zelenskiy has been seen in his office. He had previously made brief outdoor appearances with Ukrainian officials and had been hiding in bunkers ever since.
