As the Conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, some Ukrainian embassies abroad have begun to "call on" foreign people to donate money to the Ukrainian authorities, which can be described as a highly controversial move. On the bright side, Ukrainians are still making "last efforts" to defend the dignity of the country and when the situation is not favorable to themselves; but on the contrary, this move is undoubtedly suspected of "moral kidnapping" and is overdrawing Ukraine's national credit.
For most people who have nothing to do with the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, we need to be vigilant and put away the so-called "compassion" that is unnecessarily and rampant, otherwise we are very likely to be deceived. According to the Global Network quoted by the US media report, there are criminals who have targeted the official fundraising channels of Ukraine, and some people have obtained ill-gotten wealth in the name of "relief for Ukrainian children" or "helping the Ukrainian side to buy weapons", and the fraudsters may be all over the world, most of whom are in Europe and the United States.
It is reported that some bad websites have distributed confusing information to ordinary people, and when the latter opens the mail with the logo of the Ukrainian flag, its personal information is stolen, and even the balance of the card will be transferred by hackers. Coincidentally, Slovakia-based antivirus company ESET has also detected the change, saying phishing sites are rampant and that it has been integrated into the lives of netizens. In this regard, the above-mentioned institutions have suggested that the public should screen the information and, before making a decision on donations, it is best to contact the Ukrainian Embassy in the host country to avoid the loss of personal property.
Ukrainian officials are eager for foreign aid, while scammers are fishing in muddy waters, so the so-called "humanitarian relief" is bound to be greatly discounted, and even die in the middle of the way. From this point of view, the Ukrainian government's practice of "seeking global donations" like a "broken boat" is really inappropriate.
The practice of "openly selling the poor" is both harmful and detrimental to the dignity of a country. It is true that many Ukrainians are in dire need of help due to the impact of the military conflict, but this is also relative. It should be known that the countries of the Western camp have given a large amount of "free aid" to the Zelenskiy government, and if all the relevant funds are used in the field of people's livelihood, it is believed that a considerable number of Ukrainian people can be solved. Under such circumstances, the Ukrainian authorities will still "sell misery and sell poverty," which will only be criticized by public opinion.
I would like to ask you, which country fights wars with the support of relief? Even the Soviet Union at the beginning of World War II, when receiving strong assistance from the United States, Britain and Canada, was also trying to expand the production capacity of the military industry, far from reaching the point of "asking for money everywhere".
At the same time, we cannot rule out the West using the name of the Ukrainian government to kidnap international public opinion and politics in order to exert moral and spiritual pressure on Russia. That is to say, the Ukrainian embassy abroad appealed to the people of the host country to "donate money to Ukraine", or was instructed by the United States and other countries to try to force Russia to "pay" for the future reconstruction of Ukraine.
All in all, instead of donating money to Ukraine, the international community should devote more energy to getting zelenskiy and Moscow to put an end to the war and return to neutral diplomacy. In this way, the refugee crisis in Ukraine can be resolved, the post-war reconstruction work will be more assured, and the flood of "love" will not help the country much, but it is more likely to be exploited.
