The first thing I felt after watching the exhibition was a shock, which was a very strong feeling. Then this shock is not only its picture, its scale, including its meteorology, this weather is very sufficient, rushing to the face, dripping and refreshing.

"Long Sky Colorful Cloud Dance", 144cmX360cm, 2001

We feel that Mr. Sun Bowen's creations, especially in his later period, a kind of explosion, a kind of volcanic eruption, and a superhuman completion of these works, not only the scale is huge, the number is also huge, he is actually a deep traditional foundation, but also has a very strong contemporary spirit.

We now see that the site is more vertical, basically the three far of the Chinese landscape is the main one, it stands up, so it has a very high and lofty atmosphere. At the same time, color actually has the meaning of traditional colors, such as big green, and also the contemporary big splash, which is a revolution of color, a strong direct expression of color. The spiritual connotation of a modern person and the viewing of a world are vividly reflected in the picture, just like the theme of our exhibition is called "Dripping Huazhang". This kind of vivid and gorgeous words form a high degree of integration, and we are very shocked and moved to see, (this is) a very precious exhibition. We know that his entire Chinese painting has a long history of brush and ink skills, from flowers and birds to landscapes, and this batch of works in the late period is an expression of the artist's entire face, maverick style maturity, so I am very congratulatory on this exhibition.

Interpretation: Only the heavens are above, and there are no mountains and qi. Raise your head to the red sun approaching, look back at the low white clouds.

He is a very interesting case, and we are very strange, but after reading it, it will leave a deep impression, a very strong impression, even an isolated case. It is an avant-garde art, a pioneering art that is moving towards a subversion, rebellion and breakthrough. But after a few decades, it became a style, an image, a boundary. There is also a strong feeling that people can come to the face, that is, his paintings have a sense of light, a very strong kind of light and light. There is light is not unexpected, but there is light is actually very rare, it is elegant and popular, and some viewers can watch it for four hours on the spot.

His works are strong and creative, breakthrough, but at the same time it can make ordinary audiences able to walk in and be attractive, so there is a rich degree of tolerance in its light.

This artist has the ability to control the talent of the big picture, the kind of control of the framework, the kind of control of the structure, the kind of control of the spatial relationship, this kind of control has a sense of the times. It's not a traditional format that comes out, he has an explosive sense of the times. This sense of the times makes his so-called traditional three-far form more full of full tension and lofty momentum. The Confucian spirit of Confucius and Mengmeng is called "full is beautiful, full and glorious is great, large and transformed is sacred, holy and unknowable is God."

He also has a Shandong spirit called "Yuemingjiao, Ren Nature", "Yuemingjiao" is to abandon the framework of dogma, such an artist with traditional accumulation and skills, it is not easy to do; the second "Ren Nature", "Ren Nature" has formed the "Chinese performance, contemporary freehand" that we have been advocating and pursuing today.
