Position News to learn ostrich, what is the use of removing articles?

On June 27, Hong Kong's Position News issued an announcement saying that in order to reduce the so-called "risk", it decided to temporarily remove "blog posts, reprinted articles and reader contributions published in May this year" and directly point the finger at the Hong Kong National Security Law.

At the same time, Position News said that Yu Jiahui, Zhou Dazhi, Wu Yiyi, He Yunshi, Fang Minsheng and Lian Yizheng resigned as directors of the company. Position News also said that it will take measures as soon as possible to "suspend the acceptance of sponsorships." On June 28, Leung Chun-ying, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former chief executive of Hong Kong, said on facebook that "people are on the one hand, money is on the other hand, before and after the resignation of six directors, where did the money of Position News come from, and now with the National Security Law, it is too easy to check."
In fact, the newly appointed Hong Kong Police Commissioner Siu Chak-yi made it clear in his first interview with the media on June 26 that the relevant national security law enforcement has never been aimed at any media, but at anyone who endangers national security.
Previously, when Li Jiachao was the secretary for security in Hong Kong, he also stressed that the national security law focuses on the subjective malice of endangering national security, and the merits are very good to distinguish, and there is no need for anyone to "cup the bow and snake shadow". For Position News, if there is no subjective malice that endangers national security, why should "there is no silver here three hundred and two" be a removed article and a director's resignation? If there is subjective malice, can the removal of articles and the resignation of directors mean that everything is safe?
The Internet has a memory, and in May this year, Position News published a commentary article titled "The Future of the Hong Kong Resistance Movement from the Experience of Northern Ireland's Resistance", in which it declared that Hong Kong should follow northern Ireland's approach and resort to armed violence. It is not difficult to distinguish whether such an article contains subjective malice that endangers national security, and it is self-evident what kind of position position is based on which position position is published by Position News. As for the removal of these articles now, it can only be said that ostriches must call out to the insiders when they see them.
It is worth noting that according to the Ta Kung Pao and other Hong Kong media reports, at about 10 p.m. on June 27, the Hong Kong police arrested another chief writer of Apple Daily and the executive editor-in-chief of the English version, Feng Weiguang (pen name: Lu Feng).
Hong Kong police later confirmed that the Hong Kong Police National Security Department arrested a 57-year-old man at the Hong Kong International Airport on the evening of June 27 for "conspiracy to collude with foreign or foreign forces to endanger national security." The police also revealed that the arrested man was preparing to take a flight to the Uk kingdom, but was stopped by the control station personnel and then taken away by the police.
Feng Weiguang has been writing editorials for Apple Daily since 1997 and was the executive editor-in-chief of the English edition of Apple Daily. Before the suspension of Apple Daily, Feng Weiguang was still writing an editorial, shouting that "Hong Kong's original pluralistic and open space for free speech will quickly disappear" and so on. Hong Kong police said that relevant law enforcement actions continue, and it is not excluded that more people will be arrested.

Carrie Lam departed for Beijing to attend the celebration of the centenary of the Communist Party of China

Carrie Lam, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, departed for Beijing on June 28 to participate in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Prior to Carrie Lam's return to Hong Kong on 1 July, the post of Chief Executive was represented by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Lee Ka-chiu, as is customary.
According to the press release of the previous day, the accompanying HKSAR Government representatives included financial secretary Paul Chan Mo-po, Secretary for Justice Cheng Ruohua, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Tsang Kwok Wai, Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung, Chief Executive Office Director Chan Kwok Kee and a number of Disciplined Force Chiefs. In addition, Chief Justice Cheung Chung of the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong and Chief Justice Poon Siu Chu of the High Court are also among them.
Hong Kong media "Hong Kong 01" learned at the airport on the same day that Carrie Lam's entourage also included Legislative Council Chairman Leung Kwan Yan, Hong Kong NPC Standing Committee Member Tam Yiu-chung, Deputy Director of the Basic Law Committee Tam Wai-chu, Executive Council Convener Chan Chi-si, Executive Council member Tang Jiahua, Liao Changjiang, known as the "squad leader" of the pro-establishment faction, New People's Party Chairman Ip Lau Shu-yee, Liberal Party Chairman Cheung Yu-man, and HKU University Committee Chairman Lee Kwok-cheung, totaling about 60 people.
Compared with the delegation when Carrie Lam cheng yuet-ngor went to Beijing to attend the National Day event in 2019, although the number of entourage has been reduced, the number of managers of important functional agencies of the SAR government has increased significantly, covering the executive, judicial, legislative and a number of powerful departments. On the one hand, this is the first time that Carrie Lam has led a team to Beijing after the improvement of Hong Kong's electoral system, and with the arrival of three consecutive elections in the next year, it is necessary for the Hong Kong government to coordinate and communicate with the central government to the greatest extent possible to ensure that the situation in Hong Kong is as smooth as possible.
On the other hand, this also reflects that compared with 2019, Hong Kong has clearly emerged from the chaos created by anti-China and chaotic Hong Kong people at that time, and the relevant work from chaos to governance has achieved remarkable results, at least the managers of important functional agencies of the Hong Kong government, especially the heads of powerful departments, have space and time to attend the celebration in Beijing.
As Ye Liu Shuyi wrote on social networking sites before her departure, she felt "both excited and looking forward to" the trip. The entourage also has no shortage of people from all walks of life in Hong Kong, and Li Huiqiong, chairman of the DAB, sent a series of photos with the group on her personal homepage on her social networking site, including Sheng Zhiwen, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, Leung Ting Bang, senior barrister, Yuan Wu, president of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Shi Kuanyun, president of the Hong Kong Buddhist Federation.

Nie Dequan: Arrange Hong Kong civil servants to hang up posts in the mainland as soon as possible

On June 28, The Secretary for Civil Service of the SAR Government, Nie Tak-kuen, told the media that the Hong Kong government communicated with the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Guangdong Province and Shenzhen Municipality, hoping to implement the arrangements for Hong Kong civil servants to hang out on the mainland for several months as soon as possible, "Through personal experience, we can understand the national system, government operation and social situation, which is more important to understand the country, especially in the Greater Bay Area." Because the development of the Greater Bay Area is the most important thing under the foundation of one country, two systems, to do policy innovation, we must understand Hong Kong and understand the mainland."
As for the recent internal personnel changes in the Hong Kong government, Nie Dequan pointed out that relevant arrangements have occurred from time to time, and the focus of the civil service team is to cooperate with the SAR government to achieve work objectives, and civil servants must adapt to personnel changes. He stressed that the most important thing is not to look at individual personnel, but to look at the whole, and to see how to more effectively promote the key issues that Hong Kong needs to give priority to at present and in the coming period.
