For Liverpool, the campaign was both a milestone and a record one. First, the campaign was Liverpool's 600th Premier League win, becoming the fourth Premier League club in history to reach that milestone, followed by Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Secondly, after the victory, Liverpool won the 70th league victory over West Ham, becoming the opponent with the most losses in West Ham's league history.
Third, at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool are unbeaten in 18 league games and have won all of their last nine Premier League home games. In England's top four leagues, Liverpool are the only team to remain unbeaten at home.
Fourth, Van Dijk remained unbeaten in 60 Premier League home games, breaking the previous premier league record set by former Manchester United midfielder Lee Sharp.
Fifth, Arnold delivered his 16th assist of the season, setting a new career record, and Arnold also equaled Gerrard's career single-season assist record.
After the win over West Ham, Liverpool are in second place with 63 points, at least three points from Top Manchester City. Once Manchester United block Manchester City, then Liverpool, who have one less game, will really see the hope of winning the title.
