BYD canceled the pulley through electrification, and the accessories such as air conditioning compressors and water pumps used separate electric drives, and the electrification of accessories greatly reduced the burden on the engine, which naturally improved thermal efficiency.

In addition, BYD has optimized the engine compression ratio to 15.5, EGR cycle, engine cooling and heat dissipation, and suppression of knocking, so the overall thermal efficiency of the engine has also been improved.

In terms of power data, the maximum power of BYD's 1.5L engine is 81kW, the maximum torque is 135Nm, and it is in line with the national VIb emissions.
