The Biden mission left on March 2, the same day that former U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo visited Taiwan. According to reports, Pompeo will carry out relevant activities in Taiwan for 4 days, and on the 3rd, Pompeo met with "Taiwan independence" leader Tsai Ing-wen and broadcast it live online. There was a small episode in this, when the two live broadcasts also suffered a major power outage in Taiwan, affecting the use of electricity by 5 million local people.
In addition to writing some empty checks such as the so-called United States standing with Taiwan like the Biden mission, Pompeo also attended a lecture on the island on March 4 and gave a 20-minute speech on U.S.-Taiwan relations.
In his speech, Pompeo touted the importance of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship, arguing that U.S.-Taiwan relations should be a necessary element of U.S. foreign policy. In Taiwan, Pompeo encouraged the Biden administration across the ocean to diplomatically recognize "Taiwan independence," claiming that the United States should support the Taiwan region as it did defending West Berlin during the Cold War.

What is Pompeo doing? Was he a pioneer in Washington's abandonment of its policy of strategic ambiguity on the Taiwan issue to test the mainland's reaction? Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States 50 years ago, the Taiwan issue has always been the political foundation of bilateral relations, and now the United States finally can't help but change this strategic ambiguity policy?
Whether it is the Trump administration or the Biden administration, its official tone is still against "Taiwan independence", which Biden personally promised during the video meeting with the Chinese leader, and US Secretary of State Blinken has repeatedly guaranteed it.
However, after the US side once again sold arms to Taiwan, the Biden special mission visited the Taiwan region, and Pompeo advocated "Taiwan independence", no one could guarantee that the United States would not make that decision.
