"Forever Doomed" "Hanhai" case
Many of the terms in Forever Doom use Chinese allusions, such as the "Hanhai" we will mention next. The meaning of Hanhai has changed dramatically with the changes of history.
During the Two Han Dynasties and Six Dynasties, "Hanhai" was the name of the sea in the north. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty attacked the Xiongnu Zuodi with illness, he left the Dai Commandery for more than 2,000 miles and returned to the Han Sea. In the Tang Dynasty, the term was changed to a generic term for a large area north of the Great Desert of the Mongolian Plateau and its western part of the present-day Junggar Basin. The Tang Dynasty border poet Gao Shi wrote in the "Yan Song Xing": "The school lieutenant Yushu flew into the Han Sea, and the hunting fire alone illuminated the Wolf Mountain. ”

"Eternal Destruction" "Tai Dao" case
Before it went live, we didn't expect that the translation of Tai Dao would trigger so many Vietnamese players to discuss, and in the early stage, we directly translated Tai Dao into "Thái ao" (The Han Yue word for Tai Dao).

After it went live, we never expected that the translation of this word would become the focus of the community discussion on the day.
In the cognitive understanding of the Vietnamese, the tai knife is a sword. Therefore, the player has a heated discussion about whether the knife is a "knife" or a "sword". Since "太" and "Thai" are homophonous in the Hanyue word, new players have raised new questions: Why is Tai Dao from Thailand?

At the beginning, we were also nervous about the public opinion of these players, worried that players were not satisfied with the professionalism of our translation. However, due to the fact that Vietnamese is a postpositional structure, the grammatical problems that "Thai knife" may cause are actually very small, coupled with the elongated and narrow meaning of "Thái" in the Vietnamese meaning, players have expressed their recognition and understanding of our translated version after a day of self-discussion.
