Recently, at the 2022 "Science and Technology Innovation China" annual meeting held by the China Association for Science and Technology, Zhou Ji, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, released the 2021 "Science and Technology Innovation China" open source innovation list. Octclum, a trusted implementation environment privacy computing operating system developed by Ant Group, and OceanBase, a native distributed database, were selected as the annual excellent open source products in the "Kechuang China" open source innovation list. Among them, Octclum, the trusted implementation environment privacy computing operating system, is also the only product in the list that focuses on the field of privacy computing.
Sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, the "Science and Technology China" open source innovation list reached 1869 open source products, and finally selected 50 annual excellent open source products.

Open sourced in 2019, Occlum is the first privacy computing operating system in China for trusted execution environments (TEE), which solves the additional functional limitations and compatibility problems of cloud TEE technology and reduces the threshold for the development of private computing applications. At present, it has donated to the Confidential Computing Consortium (The Linux Foundation), which was established by leading technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, IBM, Alibaba, and Tencent, and is the only project initiated by China.
It is worth mentioning that in recent years, privacy computing has just emerged in China, and its open source products are very few in China, Ant Group has laid out privacy computing from 2015 and successfully launched the TEE open source operating system Oclum. At present, Occlum is also the TEE base for all privacy computing businesses of Ant Group, which supports the core scenario of Ant Privacy Computing. At the same time, the open source privacy computing operating system Oclum also supports the cloud privacy computing business scenarios of Alibaba, Microsoft and other companies and the privacy computing platform of a large number of privacy computing startups; internationally renowned open source projects such as Hyperledger Avalon and Inclavare Container are also using Octclum open source products. At the same time, Occlum has been recognized by industry, academia and research, and the relevant technical achievements have been published in ASPLOS 2020, the top conference in the field of operating systems.

OceanBase is ant group's self-developed, the only native distributed database in the world that has set world records in both transactional benchmarking (TPC-C) and analytical benchmarking (TPC-H). In June 2021, OceanBase was officially open sourced and opened to the community through the Mulan Public License MulanPubL-2.0. Since its open source, OceanBase Community Edition has attracted more than 100 developers and more than 23,000 community users to participate in community co-construction, which has been recognized by developers and industry users. At present, OceanBase has been applied to the production environment of CSDN, Gitee, Ctrip, Hexagon, Red Elephant Yunteng and other Internet, banking, insurance and other industries.

In addition, the products of well-known institutions and open source communities such as Apache IoTDB developed by Tsinghua University, OpenHarmony OpenHarmony Open Source Distributed Operating System, Dragon Lizard Operating System, and Tongxin's Deepin Operating System were also selected into the annual list of excellent open source products.
According to statistics, among the 50 outstanding open source products in the year, the new generation of operating system products accounted for 16%, cloud native, big data, database products accounted for 32%, software research and development products accounted for 20%, chips and operating systems based on deep information technology, Internet of Things, industrial Internet products accounted for 12%, including face recognition, automatic driving and other artificial intelligence products accounted for 20%. The number of Developers and open source contributions in China are growing the fastest in the world and are becoming an important force in the global open source community.
