Idle in the countryside, I took the old objects of my hometown out of the room and let them bask in the sun and breathe the air. Pieces of old objects evoked strands of nostalgia.
The changes of history, the change of years. These old objects were piled up in a corner of the old house, already covered with dust and covered with the rust of the years. What happened in the past days? Old objects will be told.
The pig-killing stool that is most deeply remembered is the pig-killing stool that is shelved on the upper floor of the old house, which can be regarded as an "heirloom".

On this day, I turned over more than 20 old objects in a row, including storage wardrobes, rice zhenzi, plate buckets, horses, windmills, baking cages, grain baskets, enamel flower bowls, ding pots, triangles, bowls, nail rakes, wooden shackles... These objects have long faded their original colors, thickly embellished with the mottles of the passing years.
What I remember vividly is the coat hanging on the wall of the house and the old-fashioned brass pipe of the Qing Dynasty treasured in a wooden box.

The coat has been idle and useless for many years, but it is the most agricultural rain gear used for working in the field that year. When I was a child herding cattle and working with my parents in the fields, I wore this coat. The appearance of wearing a robe is a bit like the costume worn by the ancestors of the Tujia family when they danced Magus (a dance). The coat is both sheltered from the wind and rain and is particularly warm. Working in the field, tired, sleepy, wearing a coat and lying down on the ground to sleep, very comfortable.
And the old-fashioned brass hookah pipe is a mother's favorite. Her biggest hobby in her life was smoking. Seeing things and thinking about people reminds me of my mother's smoking demeanor. The old man first lit a wooden incense, then put the tobacco into the nozzle, lit it with incense, and then sucked it up.

In the countryside at that time, lighting at night was a big problem. I used the pine resin oil I had picked up from the mountains to make candles and use it for lighting at night when I was doing homework. The pine resin candle is very bright, the range of lighting is large, the disadvantage is that the black smoke after the grease burns fills the whole house, smoking two nostrils black, making people very uncomfortable, sneezing, runny nose, endless.

Speaking of old objects, many people will definitely think of the "three turns and one ring" of that year. "Three turns and one ring" is synonymous with bicycles, sewing machines, watches, and radios in that era. Speaking of "three turns and one ring", it can be said that everyone knows that in the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s, the most precious household items that young people want to have when they are newly married are "three turns and one ring".
Old objects are witnesses to the changes of the times, and many old objects have little-known stories of time. After I was discharged from the army, I entered a company to work, and my home was five or six miles away from the unit, saying that it was not far away, saying that it was not close. There was really no way, so I squeezed a little money out of my teeth to buy a Flying Pigeon brand bicycle produced in Tianjin, and became one of the office workers' interpretation of street traffic. When I went out to play on Sundays, I was the "driver", and my wife sat on the back shelf of the "flying pigeon" and became the "private car" who went into the city to go shopping. Unfortunately, after countless repairs, the Pigeon brand bicycle was sold as scrap iron and could not be saved.

The most memorable thing for me was the sewing machine. In the era of the planned economy, every year people were seven feet flat, and the short ones and seven feet of cloth tickets could barely cope with a year; tall people were a bit "embarrassed". There was not a single piece of clothing that was not torn at that time. What should I do if the hole is broken? First I sewed it by hand, and then I bought a sewing machine specifically to sew and repair the torn clothes. "The new three years, the old three years, the seams and patches for another three years", this popular description of the hard life of that year came from this.
The precipitation of time has given us enough nostalgic capital. Dusty old objects are symbols of an era, a record of history, both bitter aftertaste, sour, and sweet delight, which makes people taste endlessly.
