Their main destinations are Poland and Moldova, while some choose Hungary and Romania, which are slightly afield.
The Polish-Ukrainian border waited for transit refugees to queue up all night
As Russian troops moved from three directions, northeast to south, the west became almost the only way for Ukrainians to evacuate, and Poland became the main destination for many Ukrainian refugees to flee.

5,000 Ukrainian refugees arrived in Moldova
The Moldovan parliament announced on the evening of the 24th that the country has entered a 60-day state of emergency from now on.
Moldovan Prime Minister Gavrice said that during the state of emergency, a special entry and exit system, a system for the use of airspace, and measures to ensure the movement of people and protect refugees from Ukraine will be implemented.
According to UNHCR, 5,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Moldova, and local communities have arranged free shuttle buses and provided food for the refugees.
Bordering Ukraine, Moldova was one of the former Soviet republics and declared its independence in 1991.
Macron: The EU is ready for refugee shelter
The European Commission's Commissioner for Crisis Management, Reinalcic, has contacted the competent ministers of Ukraine's neighbouring countries, such as Poland, Romania, Hungary and Moldova, to discuss how to protect Ukrainian citizens in asylum, and Moldova has now requested the EU's assistance in evacuating Ukrainian citizens.
As head of state of the EU Council presidency, French President Emmanuel Macron said the EU would increase financial aid to Ukraine and provide support to EU countries that may be affected by the crisis, especially those bordering Ukraine, such as preparing for refugee shelters.
Thousands of British soldiers will be sent around Ukraine to assist with refugees
On the evening of February 26, local time, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said during a visit to Royal Air Force Base In Brads Norton, Oxfordshire, that the Uk was sending humanitarian, military and financial supplies to Ukraine.
Johnson made the remarks after a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenskiy. He added that 1,000 soldiers would be sent to the surrounding areas of Ukraine to help cope with the influx of refugees.
Refugees from eastern Ukraine arrive in southern Russia
Refugees from eastern Ukraine have arrived in southern Russia.
Due to the continuous increase in the number of refugees pouring in from eastern Ukraine, the government of The Rostov Oblast in southern Russia announced on the 19th that the oblast will enter a state of emergency from now on.
