The President of Ukraine is reluctant to go into exile

The Associated Press quoted a senior U.S. intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation as saying that the U.S. government asked Ukrainian President Zelenskiy to evacuate Kiev.

But he rejected the offer.

"The battle is here," he said, and "what I need is anti-tank ammunition, not free-riding."

The U.S. move was made to prevent "Zelenskiy from being captured or killed by Russian troops."

Will the Russian army capture Zelenskiy alive after entering Kiev?

Zelenskiy, a comedian-born, brought Ukraine to where it is today.
