Although Netflix canceled all of the Marvel series, Joe Bornser, the actor who played the Punisher, is still obsessed with the role.
During a Fandemic Tour in Houston last weekend, Bornser said he doesn't have any Marvel or DC roles he wants to play right now, but he's willing to talk about it if something cool comes up.
"SH-T, I don't know. I don't know, I really don't know. A lot of times, people always ask me, 'How do you pick a role, what do you want to play?' ’'“
The rugged-looking Bornser explained that he should go where he suited him.
"I have a big nose, a pair of big ears, and people say that." This will never work for you. I remember the directors who auditioned and cast never left their phones and looked up at you, and they didn't want to have anything to do with me. That's hard. It's a realistic job. But the coolest thing is, those great things, those great jobs, and great love, right there. ”
Asked about online rumors that Boenser might appear in the Kevin Fitch-led MCU, Bornser laughed and said, "I mean, you know I can't talk about this." ”
"And, by the way, honestly, you'll all know before me. They won't tell me," he added.
When he was also asked if he wanted to play a hero or villain if he joined the MCU, his answer was simple: "I want to play Frank Custer." ”
