As a famous performance artist, Huang Zongluo was born in Beijing on September 26, 1926, but his family is the famous Shuxiang Mendi in Ruian, Zhejiang, a historical city in Jiangnan, and the good story of "Huang Family One Gate Three Generations of Hanlin" has been circulated in Ruian City for more than a hundred years. And the Shuxiang Mendi of that year later came out of a number of prestigious art elites, the most famous of which were the "Four Masters of the Huang Clan" - Huang Zongjiang, Huang Zongying, Huang Zongluo, huang Zonghan.
Huang Zongluo's father, Huang Zengming, was a motor engineer who had studied in Japan, he had three daughters, four boys and seven children, and his ex-wife had two daughters, Huang Ruihua and Huang Yanyu, who died of illness soon after, and after remarriage, he gave birth to Huang Zongjiang, Huang Zonghuai, Huang Zongying, Huang Zonghe, and Huang Zonghan. In fact, the names of the four sons are very easy to remember, and the father named them "Jianghuai River Han" to the "Zong" generation, but later Huang Zonghe changed his name to Huang Zongluo.
Huang Zongluo studied at Yenching University, North China Union University in Jin-Cha-Ji, North China University in the Liberated Areas and the Central Academy of Drama, and entered the Beijing People's Art Theatre in 1952.
In more than 50 years of drama, film and television art career, Huang Zongluo has starred in more than 100 small characters, creating countless classic images, such as Song Erye in "Tea House", patrol police in "Three Dollars and National Coins", and Ping Yizhi in "Smiling Proud of the Rivers and Lakes".
As a performance artist spanning the film and television and drama circles, although Huang Zongluo is mainly engaged in drama performances, he has also participated in 50 or 60 film and television dramas, such as "Icing on the Cake", "Wounded Death", "Tea House", "Journey to the West", "Laughing Proud of the River", "Court Cockfighting", "Drum Book Artist", "Huang Tupo's Mother-in-law", "Dazhaimen", "Dashilar" and so on.
That is, in the TV series "Dashilar" in 2004, Huang Zongjiang, Huang Zongying, Huang Zongluo, and Huang Zonghan co-starred, playing Li Lianying, Dagege, Mu Daren, and Fu Wangye respectively, which was the only time that the "Four Masters of the Huang Family" appeared on the screen together.
For the artistic image of more than 100 small characters he has created, Huang Zongluo prides himself on being a "hundred ugly figures". He once said: "I am very envious of Sun Wukong's seventy-two changes, in the acting, I have a taste addiction, almost to the point of going crazy."
