Recently, Renault officially released a sketch of the exterior design of its new compact SUV, the Austral, which will be officially released as the successor of Kadjar Corregal on March 8 this year.

Judging from the Austral's exterior sketch, the car has a more sporty shape, the rib lines on the front hatch are very tough, the dot matrix mid-mesh area is wide, the headlight design is very sharp, and the front face looks quite fierce, which is similar to the pure electric crossover that Renault is currently selling, the Megane E-Tech.
From the sketches, the Renault Austral looks somewhat similar to the Renault Megane E-Tech (the model in the picture).
According to the previously released interior sketch, austral will have a five-seat layout, and both the instrument and the center control will be equipped with a huge screen (with a total area of 24.3 inches) and an embedded design. Unlike many models that use large screens but lose their aesthetics in design and appear very obtrusive, Austral's large screen and center console are organically integrated, and the visual effect is very outstanding.

Based on the Renault CMF-CD3 platform, Austral is positioned as a compact SUV with a length of 4510mm. Renault officials revealed that the new car will have a huge improvement in NVH and driver assistance functions compared to the Kadjar Corregation.
In terms of power, Austral will offer three power versions: a 1.2T engine fuel model, a 1.2T+48V light hybrid model and a hybrid fuel-electric model, the latter with a maximum power of 147 kW (200 hp).
