The birth of the car can be described as very tortuous, and the unveiling is not a real mass production version of the model, the follow-up it also needs to carry out engineering verification and certification work, but the release of the quasi-production car also indicates that the FF 91 is one step closer to the official mass production. It is reported that the official said that the new car will be officially mass-produced in the third quarter of this year, and the FF 81 model will also be officially put into production in 2024. In addition, Faraday will also strive to promote the landing of domestic projects in the future, and the mass production version of FF 91 will appear in the Chinese showroom in the fourth quarter of this year.
In terms of appearance, on the whole, the quasi-production car unveiled this time is not significantly different from the design when it debuted in 2017, and it adopts a through-line LED light strip with a flat and narrow shape of the headlight group design. The front of the car adopts an integrated closed grille shape, the central LOGO also has a luminous effect, and the bumper is also equipped with narrow LED fog lights and intake openings on both sides, although this design has passed for many years, but with the current aesthetic point of view, it can still be called avant-garde.
Referring to the information previously released, the length of the new car is 5250 mm, the wheelbase is 3200 mm, and it is expected that the production car will not change much in size. The side shape of the new car is very low, with a design style similar to that of a crossover, and at the same time, due to regulatory restrictions, the new car does not use an external camera to replace the exterior mirrors, but the ritualistic door opening design is still retained.
At the rear, the new car adopts a penetrating taillight design, the internal light group is very complex, and the large inclination D-pillar and the roof hollow spoiler also create a good sense of movement for the new car. In addition, according to official data, the wind resistance coefficient of the car is only 0.26Cd.
In terms of interior, the new car is equipped with 11 screens including full LCD instruments and central control screens, which can be said to be very extreme. In fact, the interior design of the new car itself is not complicated, but under the blessing of many screens, it has a strong visual impact, as for the actual performance, we still need to wait for the mass production car to meet us.
Finally, in terms of power, the new car adopts a three-motor layout of single motor in the front axle with a double motor in the rear axle, and the comprehensive maximum power of the system reaches a terrifying 1050 horsepower, and the acceleration time of 0-96km/h given by the official is within 2.4 seconds. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a power battery pack with a capacity of 130 kWh and a NEDC range of 700 kilometers.
