Biography
Li Hongning, female, born on October 8, 1970, from Lengshuijiang, Hunan, was admitted to the Xinhua County People's Court in March 1995, and has successively worked in the Xinhua County People's Court Office, the Shangmei People's Court, the Case Filing Division and other departments, and is currently the president of the Langtang People's Court of the Xinhua County People's Court and a first-class judge.
Make full use of mediation and resolve contradictions among the masses with enthusiasm
"Thank you so much! We were confused for a while, but you saved our almost broken marriage and also saved our family..." After mediation, the couple who dispelled the idea of divorce held Li Hongning's hand for a long time and did not let go, and thanked her continuously.
This is a scene that occurred in the Langtang People's Court of the Xinhua County People's Court, and it is also a microcosm of Li Hongning's good use of mediation. It turned out that when Li Hongning was handling a divorce case, the parties reached a divorce mediation agreement after the trial, "When receiving the civil mediation document, I noticed that there was still a possibility of reconciliation between the two parties. In this regard, Li Hongning did not think that "more is better than less" to conclude the case hastily, but patiently did ideological work with the two parties, and finally persuaded the parties to reconcile as before.
"The interests of the masses are no small matter, and every lawsuit is related to the vital interests of the parties concerned and the stability and tranquility of society." Most of the civil disputes accepted by the grass-roots courts are between relatives and neighbors in the townships, and Li Hongning is well aware of the temperament of the people, regards mediation as the first choice for handling disputes, carefully resolves the contradictions and disputes of the masses, and skillfully turns one dispute case after another into "jade".
In the case of plaintiff Peng X v. defendant Liu X, the parties were brothers, and a dispute arose over the dispute over the disputed self-reserved land, accumulating grievances for more than 20 years. After Li Hongning accepted the case, he saw that the parties were extremely antagonistic, both sides refused to give in, and considering the difficulty of enforcement after the judgment of the case, it would even make the already broken family relationship between the parties worse. Li Hongning immediately organized the parties, agents, village cadres and others to go to the scene of the disputed land to mediate. By understanding the ins and outs of the matter, explaining the law and reasoning with the parties, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the case after the judgment for the parties, and coming up with various mediation schemes that can be actually operated. After six hours of patient mediation, the two sides finally reached a mediation agreement, a tense dispute was settled, and the two brothers' affection was preserved.
Never be afraid of difficulties, and measure the feelings of the grassroots people with their feet
"A judge who will only sit in the court and judge a case is not a good judge, and the case is closed, the matter is settled, the person and the person are the due deeds of a good judge." Li Hongning believes that although the cases tried by the grass-roots courts are small, they cannot be simply adjudicated, and if they are not handled properly, it may lead to the rupture of family ties, the increase of resentment, the enmity of neighbors, and even trigger mass incidents or turn them into criminal cases, affecting social stability. In order to properly handle each case, she always did her best, whether the parties' homes were in remote mountainous areas or villages with inconvenient transportation, she personally visited the door, looking for entry points that the parties could accept in many ways, and truly closed the case.
This year is the ninth year that Li Hongning has insisted on staying in the grass-roots courts, and Li Hongning's footprints have been covered with Langtang Town, Jinfeng Township, and Ronghua Township within the jurisdiction of the Langtang Court. She went from village to village, into the village, into the household, to understand the case and public opinion, to follow up after the judgment, in order to handle the case, often over the mountains, take the muddy mountain road, a rain, a body of mud. Every time she resolves a contradiction or dispute, and every time she solves a difficulty for the people, she can get happiness from a satisfied smile.
Due to long-term visits outside, continuous overload work, and frequent irregular diet, Li Hongning suffered from stomach disease. But this did not stop her, or insisted on visiting the countryside as usual. She is also active in a series of legal popularization activities such as "sending the law to the countryside", "sending the law to the campus", and "circuit trial".

"My parents don't spend as much time with me as you do." This is a little girl who is helped by Li Hongning, and her true feelings for Li Hongning are revealed. When Li Hongning was working in the Langtang court, the parties to a divorce case did not ask questions about their own daughters, and both husband and wife went out to work and handed the girls over to their grandmother, who was old and had a very difficult life. After Li Hongning learned about it, she often went to visit the little girl after work and sent her school bags, books and other school supplies. Later, Li Hongning learned from the girl's grandmother that the girl had no money to pay tuition and was ready to give up her studies. After hearing this, Li Hongning immediately took the children to the school to pay for registration, and said that no matter how poor they are, they cannot be poor in education, and only knowledge can change their destiny.
Perennially at the grassroots level and in the forefront of mass work, Li Hongning has always cherished the dream of the rule of law and the feeling of being close to the people. In her trial work, she regards judicial convenience, benefiting the people, and serving the people as the starting point and foothold of her work, always thinks of the masses, wins wide praise from the masses, and establishes a good image of judges among the masses.
