Most of the trees in landscape painting are made from trees, shrubs and vines, especially trees. The forest is the clothing of the mountains and rivers, it covers the mountains, gives life to nature, the mountains meet, and the trees are deep. The thin road runs diagonally through, embellished with desolate forests and far away.
Landscapes begin with trees, and painting trees begins with trunks. The shape of the tree is the height of the trunk, the entry and exit, the curved site, and the shape of leaning. To paint trees, it is necessary to gather and evacuate, divide them far and near with thick shade and shade, focus on the big, start in the small place, grasp their organizational structure, and use various pen and ink techniques to express.
To paint trees, we must go to nature, carefully observe, and carefully study the basic growth laws and characteristics of trees. Sketching on a pair of trees from different angles, forming a deep understanding of the trees, and laying a solid foundation for the landscape.
First, the composition of the tree
Trees can generally be divided into five parts, namely roots, stems (or tree bodies), branches, shoots, and leaves. Judging from the morphological characteristics of trees, there are tangled branches, poles, flexions, button cracks, scars and so on. In addition, leaves have a distinction between "mutual growth", "paragenesis" and "reincarnation". Due to the different species of trees, the bark pattern of the tree has differences such as "fish scale pattern", "watercress pattern", "horizontal stripe" and "unsoiling stripe".
Second, the branches, stems, and roots of the tree
In the tree, the branches, poles, and roots all have forms. When painting, it is necessary to explain the respective transition relationships, so that there is a process of morphological gradient from root to branch. Painting a tree must make the branches twist up and down, do not use a straight pen alone.
Third, the bark pattern of the tree
Depending on the species of tree, the bark pattern of the tree is also different, there are smooth and rough, horizontal and straight lines, long lines and short lines.
Fourth, draw trees and stroke order
Drawing trees more center pens, the so-called center pen is to transport the tip of the brush in the center of the line, so that the drawn lines appear rounded. Drawing a tree trunk with strong lines is called "sketching", and drawing a tree first learns to outline. The stroke order outlined is usually left and then right. Sixth, the treatment method of the trunk
The pen for young branches and small trees can be slightly faster and more flexible. The old stem and old branches should be slow and not stagnant with the pen, and the party looks old. Whether it is a young branch or an old tree, the pen line requires the suppression of the ups and downs, or the pen can be pressed down, the upswing is lifted, the sudden setback is the pause and the turn, and the suppression of the line is the rhythm of the line.
Antlers: Refers to a type of tree whose branches grow upwards, and is more common in nature. It is the most difficult to draw dead trees with antlers, it is difficult to have more than chaos, and the branches are stacked without colliding. The stack has anterior and posterior layers, and the collision is crossed into an X and the branches are parallel. The way to avoid chaos and collision is to branch the "female" glyph.
Crab claw: refers to a tree whose branches are curled downwards, resembling a crab claw. Seven, the tree is divided into four branches
The tree is divided into four branches, which means that a tree should have branches that stretch out on all four sides, front and back, left and right. If the branches from the left and right sides only have a flat feeling, if the branches are out of the four sides, that is, the four sides are tangible, there is a three-dimensional sense. As long as you understand the principle that the tree is divided into four branches, even if you only draw three or two branches, you can also have a sense of four sides. The ancients called the front branches "cover" and the back branches as "protection", which is intended to draw the spatial distance between the front and back. Because the trunk of the big tree has been sharpened for a long time and continues to grow tall, the main trunk of the tree is rarely entangled, so every time the tree exposes the main pole, it is only divided into front and back left and right on the branches, which is in line with the principle of nature, and from the composition, it can also play a clear main line and support the role of the picture.
Eighth, clipping leaves, point leaf method
There are two methods of painting leaves: "clipping leaves" and "point leaves". Those who are formed with a double hook of the line are called "clipped leaves", and those who directly point out the leaf shape with pen and ink are called "point leaves".
The upper hooked leaf in the figure, also known as the circle leaf, its contour line is not necessarily required to be very round, the line is not too finely carved, just seek to have a sphere feeling at will.
Round leaves, dots shrink to become pepper points, gather five for plum blossom dots, points can be slightly faster with a pen, too slow and incoherent, it will be loose. There should be aggregation and dispersion between groups of ideas.
9, Large mixed point, small mixed point
In the figure, (i) is the large mix point, (ii) is the small mix point, and (iii) (four) is the mix point of the declension.

10. Breaking point
Broken pen dot leaves are more casual. But there must be a foundation for the whole point. There are three kinds of broken pen points: vertical point, horizontal point and oblique point, which can be used to dip the ink with the old pen and press several vertically in the ink mixing plate, and the pen edge is still scattered after the pen is moisture.
The broken pen point is a few full stroke points to make the publicity head gather, and the point method changes such as (1), (2) is a vertical broken pen point. The broken pen point is different from the broken pen dry wipe, it should also have the effect of the whole pen point, or even better. 11. Pine tree painting method
The bark of the pine tree is scale-like and the leaves are like needles, which is the biggest feature that distinguishes pine trees from other trees. Painting pine bark with a pen should be vigorous and powerful, hairy but not light, heavy with ink, but also with changes, such as light part is lighter, backlight part is heavier.
Do not make circles one by one, but use square circles of different lengths and sizes to form pine bark, so as not to appear rigid. Painting the whole pine tree, the leaves are composed of basically the same unit, pine needle painting method has semi-circular pine needles and round pine needles, when drawing pine needles, pay attention to jagged and dense distribution.
Drawing pine needles are generally drawn from the outside to the inside, beginners may not draw accurately, the pen often can not be concentrated in the center, only through continuous practice, can avoid this problem. The thickness of the brush used to draw pine needles should be determined according to the needs of the picture, for example, sometimes the pine trees in the close-up view are required to be painted heavier, the pine needles should be thicker with the pen, and the pine bark should be thicker with the pen.
XII. Cypress Painting Method
One: Paint cypress trees should not be painted as cypresses in pots, but should show the tall and wild feeling of cypress trees. The edge treatment should not be too stressed, because the bark wrinkle method of cypress trees has unique characteristics, with the feeling of dragon coils and pillars, mainly to solve the problem and herringbone.

How to draw willow trees
