Recently, the music micro-film "Memories of Jiangnan" was released, and Fang Jinlong, a Chinese music walker, used a five-string pipa to tell a Chinese story about cultural inheritance.

"Remembering Jiangnan" tells the story of a wanderer studying abroad who set foot on the homeland of Jiangnan and recalled the scene of studying piano, chess, calligraphy and painting from his teacher when he was a child. The hometown is still the hometown of memory, from the melody to the beautiful melody, from the stroke to the clouds and the flowing water, it carries the memories of generations. Walking the end of the world, being the inheritor of Chinese culture, a lifetime, what will never change is a Chinese heart. The film uses a simple story to show this grand theme.

The film has been filmed in many places, including Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, Xinchang Ancient Town and Zhouzhuang Ancient Town that embody the characteristics of Jiangnan Water Town, as well as landmarks that embody Shanghai's international metropolis - Lujiazui, The Bund, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Duolun Road Cultural Celebrity Street, etc. The elements presented in the film are rich and layered. There are traditional Chinese instruments - pipa, dong zhen, zhen zhen, sheng, between the orchestras, chanting a thousand years of attachment; there are jiangnan bridges, sue the ancient double bridge, the release bridge, said today's Waibaidu bridge. Starring Fang Jinlong is today's well-known Chinese music artist, musical instrument collector, contemporary five-string pipa representative figure, can play hundreds of kinds of musical instruments of the national musician, he shows the charm of traditional music in a diversified and innovative way, known as "can not be the law, only show in the family" of the traditional culture watchman, by the "People's Daily" and other domestic and foreign media praised as "one person's orchestra". With his excellent ability to innovate and promote Chinese music, he spread traditional culture among the vast number of young people, so that Chinese folk music has a wider audience and set off a "national trend" among the majority of young people. The five-stringed pipa played by Fang Jinlong in the film is a widely spread instrument in the Tang Dynasty, which was lost during the Northern Song Dynasty, and was collected by the Tokyo National Museum after entering Japan, and then successfully copied after years of research by Fang Jinlong, reproducing the artistic style of "music living fossil".

The music micro-film "Memories of Jiangnan" took a year and a half from shooting to post-production, twenty-four draft changes, four post-productions, and the creator used an almost harsh artistic attitude to complete this work that lasted only five minutes. Forty years ago, the painter Chen Yifei's oil painting "Memories of Hometown" made the beauty of Jiangnan famous all over the world. Today, the Shuangqiao bridge in Zhouzhuang has become a famous tourist attraction, with a flow of people and a strong commercial atmosphere. In order to reproduce the double bridge in the painting, the main creative team arranged the scene at four o'clock in the morning, artificially created a smoky atmosphere, started the camera and waited for the best light, and finally captured the perfect picture of Xianle Fluttering, which became the finishing touch of the whole film. In order to find a house that can represent the architectural characteristics of Jiangnan and is suitable for shooting, the main creator traveled to several places, and finally found an old house in Pudong Xinchang Ancient Town - Chongxiu Hall, and the mottled marks left by the years between the white walls and gray tiles have become an indispensable memory background for this film. At the end of the film, there is a scene of a wandering son and a master talking to each other, the two use the dong gong and the pipa ensemble respectively, in order to achieve the perfect effect of the sound surface, according to the narrative plot, the music that has been recorded many times is re-equipped, and Fang Jinlong enters the studio again to record the dong zhen. The pursuit of art makes the theme of this film a perfect artistic expression.
