On October 21, Fu Helin, the construction leader of the Wenquan County Cross-Country Ski Resort, said that the Hot Springs County Cross-Country Ski Resort is a world-class cross-country ski resort, and the cross-country skiing national team will become the first guests to experience the Hot Spring County Cross-country Ski Resort.

On November 7, the cross-country skiing team will go to Wenquan County for training in preparation for the Winter Olympics in Beijing in February 2022. In September this year, Wenquan County actively docked with the Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, invited ice and snow experts to conduct field investigation and analysis of ice and snow resources in Wenquan County, and finally assessed the construction of cross-country ski resort projects in the Atz team of Zarmut Township, Wenquan County.
Gao Xinxin, deputy secretary of the party group and director of the Wenquan County Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, introduced that the Wenquan County Cross-country Ski Resort Project is built in accordance with international event standards, the site selection planning scope is about 359 hectares, and the overall planning of the project site is divided into two parts: cross-country skiing track and entertainment snow park, and there are also middle and middle-level ski trails and recreational snow areas planned around it.
The Atz team of Zarmut Township in Hot Spring County has a hilly landform with rolling hills and no trees, which is suitable for the construction of cross-country skiing areas. Here warm winter and cool snow period is long, the ecological environment is excellent, and the natural hot spring helps athletes to recover the advantages of recuperation, hot spring plus skiing, very suitable for cross-country skiing training and competition.

According to Gaoxin, after the completion of the project, it can not only meet the training and professional competitions of the ski team, contribute to the sports cause, but also meet the activities of public skiing and snow entertainment, and enrich the winter tourism industry in Hot Spring County.
Relying on the ski resort project, Wenquan County has positioned the Atz team in the ice and snow town, has done a complete overall planning, and will be fully implemented next year to promote the development of rural tourism.
"Next summer, we will harden the asphalt pavement of tracks 1, 2 and 3, carry out roller skating training, and realize the four-season training function of 'summer wheel winter snow'; the rest of the venue will be developed as a mountain bike riding route." In the recreational snow area, the beginner and intermediate ski slopes plan to do leisure sports such as rainbow trails and dry slopes to improve the utilization rate of the venue. Gao Xinxin said.
