Kyrie Owen looks likely to return to playing at home for the Nets, and according to New York Mayor Eric Adams, he has "can't wait" to phase out New York City's vaccination regulations, but he has also made it clear that he will heed the advice of medical professionals:
For Irving, who has not been vaccinated and has only played away games for the Nets in the past period of time, the change in the New York City vaccine rules will certainly make more sense, because it means that Irving may play all games for the Nets in future games. In 14 games for the Nets so far this season, Irving has averaged 24.1 points and 5.4 assists per game.
On the other hand, the Nets exchanged players ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond in a trade involving sending James Harden to the 76ers, but 76ers player Danny Green revealed the relationship between Simmons and the two teammates:
"I haven't had a chance to talk to those guys yet, but I know he wasn't cordial with Drummond and Curry when he was in Philadelphia, so I want to know how they're doing now."
Ben Simmons has yet to play his first game for the Nets, so what kind of relationship the three players will have will probably wait until they can all appear on the court.
Finally, nets coach Steve Nash revealed the current injury situation in the team, including Durant and Simmons:
"Nash revealed that Dragic will not play against the Celtics tomorrow and said that Dragic still needs some training time, Nash also added that Durant is closer to a comeback than Simmons, but there is no clear comeback time at present, and joe Harris's situation has not been updated."
For the Nets, staying healthy is definitely the key to their assault on the championship this season.
