The 4-time All-Star chaser Dream Green has some contradictions with former teammate Barnes. As he explained in Wednesday's podcast, it all started with recruiting Durant. To sign Durant, the Warriors sent Barnes away in the summer of 2016. This also made Barnes always resentful of Dream Green.

"Barnes doesn't like me to this day because I recruited KD here. And the reality is, I didn't tell Miles to trade Barnes before I brought in KD... He targeted me for example, he invited Curry and Thompson to the wedding, and everyone went, just without me (hahaha). Everybody was there, they just didn't call me..."
Dream Chasing recruited Durant is well documented. After losing to James and the Cavaliers in the 2016 Finals, rumors were that Green called Durant in the parking lot to get him on the team.
Shortly after that devastating Game 7 loss, Dreamcatcher parked in the park and sat on the ground at Oracle Arena, dreaming Green made two phone calls that would change NBA basketball forever.
The first was Warriors general manager Bob Myers, who Green told him to sign then-free agent Kevin Durant. The second call was to Durant himself. Two weeks later, Durant signed a maximum-salary contract that contributed to the arrival of the Warriors. ”
Although the accuracy of these reports has since been questioned, Barnes has always believed that chasing dreams allowed the Warriors to send him away. After the Warriors' huge success, Barnes' luck after leaving was not so good. He went to the Lone Rangers and now plays for the Kings, known for making bad decisions.
Still, Barnes signed a big $85 million contract in 2019. Although Barnes blamed the dream chasing for causing him to part ways with the Warriors, wasn't his current big contract also because of his departure? What's more, in the 2016 finals, Barnes's personal performance did pull the crotch.
