The famous calligrapher Liu Zhengcheng edited a book "Commentary on Award-Winning Works of Contemporary Calligraphy and Seal Engraving", published by Lijiang Publishing House in 2004. The book is collated with "recent works" by award-winning authors of several national exhibitions sponsored by the Chinese Calligraphers Association. These works condensed the latest achievements in calligraphy development at that time, and made timely historical observations and summaries of the works of the award-winning authors at that time. A total of 124 calligraphy works and seal engraving works were sorted out in the book, and Liu Zhengcheng, the editor-in-chief, wrote a "review" on each selected work. Over the years, Sun Xiaoyun has explored the Two Kings tradition inherited from the Sacred Order without distraction. This allows it to deepen its understanding of the classics, thus discovering a charm that never fades. Of course, Wang Xizhi did not have a big character to pass down, Sun Xiaoyun has been like Wang Duo," "expanding into big", letting trickle down small characters into big characters, all the author's new aesthetic information has been implanted in the creation, borrowing the art of returning the soul, so that Wang Xizhi has gained the new life of the times. Liu Zhengcheng, editor-in-chief of the Complete Works of Chinese Calligraphy, was the executive director and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. As the main curator, he has planned six consecutive national calligraphy exhibitions for young and middle-aged people, served as the deputy director of the Academic Committee of the China Book Association, planned the second, third, fourth and fifth national book seminars in China, and served as the president and editor-in-chief of China Calligraphy magazine for 18 years.
